Krauthammer is such a douchebag.

2013-11-23 08:35:33 AM
Well given that this comes from Krauthammer, the most consistently wrong human being in the history of the planet, I'm going to have to disagree.

Huh, I had thought that award went to Bill Kristol and that's why MSNBC hired him.  Although, it's entirely possible for both of them to always be wrong...

Matt Drudge who?

I have a feeling he won't win HOTY.  Ever.

It's fascinating seeing how these political hacks stay around.  But, then, there's always MSNBC to keep hope alive, I suppose.

It's pretty much true. Perhaps Drudge isn't the "greatest ever," but he's certainly the most influential headline writer out there today.

Read the Drudge Report in the morning; it's a farking checklist of what the conservative talking heads will be talking about that day. He's the guy that's basically setting the conservative news cycle every day.

I was actually on the air with him once reporting on a storm.  Strange night.  It was only after I'd IM'd him that I realized I had a filthy user icon up on AIM.

That would require 2 things:

1. For me to give a shiat about the conservative news cycle
2. For me to read the Drudge Report

Since neither of those is ever likely to happen, I'm fine just taking your word for it.

The guy that wrote that headline got laid off a few months ago. He wrote a "do you people know who I am?" email to his colleagues.

I went to high school with Matt Drudge (that's Northwood High in Wheaton, Md. if you're keeping score, and the year was 1984).  He wore that idiotic hat back then, and I still owe him a beating for the catty remark he made about the girl I was dating at the time.

Greatest headline writer in history?  Doubtful, unless he outs himself as the guy who came up with "Palin embarks on short bus tour this weekend"

2013-11-23 02:28:11 PM
I was confused that the article about the "greatest" headline writer in the world didn't offer examples. Is that some "great" reporting? Yep. That's some great reporting.

Can we start a kickstarter for this man's travel and subsequent legal expenditures? I bet if you added Krauthammer to the card, you could really clean up.

Gaydwin's Law, corollary to Godwin's Law: As an online discussion involving  liberals grows longer, the probability of a liberal evoking homoerotic imagery involving conservatives approaches 1.

Illustrates what's top of mind for some people, I guess.

Matt Drudge and Tucker Carlson are both going to feel out of place in a nation whose shifting demographics can only be accurately described as 'Generation Left' (tm).

As long as they aren't being frog marched off to a show trial on TV followed by a just execution and/or lengthy prison sentence, for decades worth of crimes against humanity, then you really can't argue they've been treated badly. Far from it. The country they spend their lives complaining about going into the sh*tter has none the less rewarded them both quite well monetarily.
