WTF Indeed: I predict this will end with lots of nerdrage.

People take their children's shows very seriously.

To be fair, the Tennant seasons were less children's shows and more "I want to market my product to lonely, unloved women who will buy anything I tell them to buy."

Its the emotions that count, not the plot, the acting, or the dialogue. Much like an episode of Law and Order SVU

I'm looking forward to it. I don't tend to get nerd-ragey about stuff though, I even liked the last season that a lot of others apparently thought was weak.

Every season of New season Doctor Who is considered weak until it's over.

Oh by the wat, there is a major spoiler in the article.

I'll be with my squeeing Tennant fangirl daughter, but we don't get to see it till Monday because that's when it is playing around here.

The final episode of last season dragged the whole season up by about 20%.

I really liked this last season, especially when you re watched them in a row. There really was subtle subplots that really built up to the final episode.

I'm sure the massive payoff will come at Christmas: Smiths highly energetic man child Doctor will go off in a really Big Bang.

I've been trying to catch up but I won't get them all in before the ep starts. I've only made it to Asylum of the Daleks.

I haven't seen them yet, but I predict the next Doctor will be the WORST. DOCTOR.  EVER. and his companion will be the WORST. COMPANION.  EVER.  There is also a good chance of the new TARDIS console being the WORST.  tardis. CONSOLE.  EVER.

Firefly fans are the dumbest fans in the world for the sole reason that every time someone remotely connected to the show mentions the show they think it'll be returning TV forever and ever and ever and they will use all their fan fiction for plots. Even the orgy ones.

Oddly enough, the introduction of a new Doctor automatically makes the outgoing Doctor the BEST. DOCTOR. EVAR, and why can't the new guy be exactly like the one that's been biatched about for 3 years?

I'm going to be boarding an airplane when it starts airing. I'm going to be on another airplane when it re-airs. I won't even be able to surf the web during my short layover because of my stupid conference travel plans... sigh.

I don't get BBCA through my cable company unless I want to pay $15 extra to watch one channel out of 20 or so that I'd actually watch. I'll be acquiring this through other means and checking it out later.

I'm going to a 3D cinema screening of it today, but the broadcast is on in less than an hour. I'm still deciding whether I should go unspoiled or not.

Anyone else watching in the theater? I'm in Bellevue WA, where they sold out 6 screens this morning. The place is packed with fans of all ages. So far, I've seen a Seven cosplayer, a couple of Elevens, about four Tens (including a cute kid of about eight or so), plus a few TARDIS, Dalek dresses, and fezzes. It's. A fun crowd.

Some form of torrent. Usually have to wait until an hour or so after the show has been finished for it to show up but oh well. If you want to acquire it through legal means I believe someone told me iTunes or Amazon Prime (can't remember which one or if both will have it) will have it available tomorrow.

Isn't the screening simulcast with the airing in the UK and BBCA? Mine is.

Depends on area, our local area only gets it on Monday night (not today) so watching on BBCA.

Just got to the River slap scene

I'm already sitting in the theater watching the countdown video. Mission Valley in Raleigh if anyone I the area is looking for a last second theater. Free admission.

No, the time zone here in NZ messes that up a bit. The tv screening is simulcast, though, with an evening repeat. At the moment it's 8.27 am on Sunday morning. The broadcast is at 9.00 am and the screening at the cinema is at 4.00 pm.

Will we finally get to see the Doctor bang Queen Victoria?

2013-11-23 02:32:12 PM
Actually, BBCA, I take issue with your graphics...

Technically, Sylvester McCoy was Doctor until 1996, and even made a brief regenerating appearance in 1996. S, he was incumbent Doctor from 1987-1996.

And does Paul McGann now get "1996, 2013" as his Doctor dates?

I am so glad they brought Grant from Mythbusters. I value his opinion so much on matters of British television shows.

Oh, the Comicon trailer no one but a couple thousand people could ever see, because reasons?

THIS is why getting the UK satellite head is worth the money I spent.
