I wasn't smoking before I came to work. It was the prisoners and this is only a contact buzz.

Did that excuse ever worked with their parents when they were kids?

And this is a problem how? If I was a prison guard, I'd want everyone stoned and not all mean drunk and rapey on fermented garbage bag hooch.

just have your mom use a little color safe bleach and then some fabric softener in the dryer.

The report also concluded that the availability of illegal drugs was fueling much of the bullying at the prison.

Bullying?  In prison?   Because drugs?

I love going to prison.  Nice to see the boys again, party, smoke some good dope, get drunk every day.  Who doesn't like going to prison?

Basically this. Stoned people are rarely violent. It's not like the inmates are driving or doing multi-variable calculus, so a little cognitive impairment won't hurt them or anyone else.

Install some better ventilation and some charcoal filters, and put a big bin of weed in the cafeteria.

Stoned, fat, and lazy will make it easier and better for everyone there.

You left Doritos off the list, you fascist monster! You should be ashamed, Captain.

I went to an alumni event for my college a couple years ago, the speaker was the head of security who had been beat cop on campus back in the day. She admitted that the 70s had been a golden era for law enforcement on campus: "Back then, everyone was up in their rooms stoned, listing to music or rapping or having sex. Now they smoke crack and drive down College Road at 90 MPH or get into fights."

The context of the talk wasn't legalization, but it turned that way fast. Too bad there are more cops like her around.

I think you'd be surprised by the number of police who are pro legalization. Many see prohibition as a dismal failure and a massive drain on resources, regardless of their personal views on drug use.

Hmm.... maybe we should be putting THC in the food.

We obviously need to build a prison inside the prison!

If only the guards had some sort of person on staff to make sure the criminals didn't have marijuana.

Most drugs get into UK prisons by staff smuggling them. Which would be understandable in the case of pot, but there is also such a good supply of heroin that it's generally cheaper inside prison than outside.

Hey now, I can do multivariable calculus just fine when I'm stoned.

I'm starting to think we've turned the corner. A lot of top cops were rookies back when I was in school, and they know that stoned people just hang out. As they rise to the top of their fields, those former rookies have a different idea of things than the previous generation of cops.

The sheriff of our county won't even bother you if a deputy spots a plant or two on your property. If the state spotter plane files a report, he's bound to do something to please the bosses, but all he does is mail a summons to the resident asking them to destroy the evidence, as it were.

Luckily, he feels that meth heads, armed robbers, rapists and etc are more worthy of his attention.

Swell for you. Seriously.
But, it will never catch on.
