Just remember this when someone tells you they're a Christian, expecting it to be a character reference or a claim to the moral high ground. We are officially past the point of "isolated case", folks.

I don't know about any of you, but I really would like to inappropriately touch that blonde reporter

Teets told Action News Reporter Ashlie Hardway he never inappropriately touched the girl nor did he make her touch him.

It always amazes me how people can rationalize things to themselves.

To be fair, that's some reporter's wording, not clearly his (unless there's something more in a video or something I didn't watch).

Not that I'm trying to jump to defend this dude.

that's true.

it just jumped out at me since it's consistent with with things like "she was coming on to me" that we hear from these creeps all the time.

I'm with you, though, on how unbelievable it is that a suspect in a crime can seem to be 100% convinced that they did not do what they are accused of,  While it's a poor example, the bald-faced liars on COPS can make a jaw drop.

it makes you wonder how much of them knows it's lying for self preservation, and how much of it is that they've actually convinced themselves of it.

I wonder if they think "If I repeat it enough times, they'll change their mind."
Someone I knew stole some items from me, and he insists to this day that he didn't. "Man, you know I didn't do that.  You know me!"
"No, I know you did do that.  Stop trying to come back around, man."

Associating with people like pastors, preachers and priests raises your child's chance of being molested a thousandfold, it seems.

Would rational, loving parents ever expose their kids to such things?

why millions of people the world over make themselves mserable because of their religion I do not get

Maybe she looked like a boy?  You know those tom boys... probably even had a sock stuffed down her pants.

Besides how would he know?  He probably was too busy giving her anal to give her the courtesy of a reach around to find out she was a she.

"He said she asked him to talk in the shed, so he met with her."

Yeah right because 11 year olds try to have sex with old priests all the time.

According to priests and nobody else...

Some states allow for chemical castration as part of the punishment, I think. Of course, Louisiana allows the death penalty for rape of minors in certain circumstances, so...

One wonders if they (the molesting clergy) do this because they think they can confess and be pardoned and still get in to heaven?  It's the biggest Get Out of Jail card going and I think they're all planning on playing it.  The argument against that would be that if this is the case then why aren't they out there perpetrating all kinds of crime rather than (apparently) just this one kind?

Oops - I meant "confess" as in attend confession and be forgiven for their sins, not confess to the crime and be pardoned by the legal system.

2013-11-22 05:22:42 AM
That disgusting POS, and this type of behavior, is exactly what I envision every time I hear the terms "pastor, minister, priest, reverend, etc.". It appears that they ALL engage in this exact same behavior at every opportunity they get whether it's with young boys or girls. I can't imagine the intelligence level of a parent that would ever allow their child to be alone with any religious person.

Hawthorne knew who American holies were 150 years ago. They have not changed one bit.

Anyone who preaches against topic X, participates in topic X. The preacher who promulgates Y, hates Y.

i think the ban on 'cruel and unusual punishment' should have exceptions when your crime is so cruel and unusual. no chem castration here, i'm talking tied and chopped off with the dullest object available. perhaps drawn and quartered style...

(testicular guillotine first came to mind but that would be too easy and not painful enough)

How about sex reassignment? It's reportedly painful, it's disfiguring, and it'll serve as a fine warning.

Surely the reason clergy disproportionately molest children is that they have a massively powerful organization protecting them from being found out and punished, presumably in an attempt to protect their own reputation, which of course makes the church the single most attractive line of work if you want to molest children.

i have two theories:

1) people with paedo tendencies disproportinately go into the church as they think they'll either be protected, or that god will help them fight their urges

2) repressing the normal urge to have sex and have intimate relationships with women makes you go crazy and end up molesting kids

Molesters become clergy rather than clergy become molesters does make more sense.  It's also FAR more chilling.

"Luring a child"? That's a crime?
