(Atlanta Journal Constitution)   In all this hullabaloo over the Braves, it's good to finally hear John Rocker weigh-in and cut through the clutter like a redneck laser   (ajc.com) divider line 16

Rocker is right, as a florididiot, I drive to George to do hunting and see the braves from time to time. Atlanta is the shiathole captiol of america, kind of like Paris to europe. You know its pretty bad when the only business that does NOT have steel bars on its windows and doors, are the ones getting robbed up to four times a night. (I remember a barber shop being raided four times, they didnt get any money so they stole everything else including a fake plant).

Soon enough tropicana field in tampa will be the same way, its nothing but a ghetto around it, you try parking down the road and your car will be broken in faster then you can say "South of the dixion line"

Too obvious of a troll, especially when you used Paris as the equivalent of a shiathole capital of Europe.

Let's change how we look at it.  It's not "white flight", color has nothing to do with it.  It's more of a "cash dash".  If you can afford it, you get the f*ck out of the ghetto, regardless of your hue.

I went to Atlanta once.  That is a terrible place.  Everyone was like "gimme sum monies cuz i spent my welfare checks on crack".  Cities in general are terrible places.

Nobody wants to go to cities, they're too expensive and crowded.

Now youre just trolling, the only problem Atlanta has is they refuse to admit the problem areas and clean them up, its why certain areas have lagged behind in revitalization.

Indeed. I was expecting lots of wharrgarbl and some ALL CAPS, maybe some [expletive removed].

I also do not have great expectations for Mr. Rocker as well.

I'm surprised he was given a column, even if it is WND.

I can point out at least 3 separate examples of business owners attempting to open bars and restaurants in the shadow of the Ted, and were all told to screw off by the Braves as they wouldn't give 100% ownership to the organization.

Basically anyone trying to develop there was caught in a catch-22 bureaucratic no-mans land, in which the city was protecting its precious parking revenues and the Braves wanted too much control of whatever imaginary revenue that would have been created by development.

I can't argue with him, because it's true.

Whether you blame it on race, socioeconomic factors, or whatever you want to blame it on, most folks simply don't want to go to places where the businesses have to protect themselves with cages. It is what it is.

Yeah thats a complete lie, the city controls the stadium and its concessions as well as all the surrounding areas. Nice try to blame the team when the main reason for the move was so they have more money coming in from home games.
