Up next: fees for mandatory things like seat belts, fees for being allowed to select a seat, fees for using the bathroom, fees for being over 70kg, and oxygen surcharges.

I'll just keep flying Southwest.  It might suck, but it sucks less than the other options out of Raleigh.

I prefer SWA over most other options.

Not quite sure what they have left to cut to save money...except Customer Service.

To save on costs all flights will now have 2 destinations. Passengers for the first stop will be ejected as the plane passes over. Eject tickets are substantially cheaper but be warned, the parachute fees are steep.

Ease up on UA's customer service, alright?  There's only so much that three people sharing a phone line in Bangalore can do.

They're starting by reducing their frequent flier mileage liabilities in the form of award requirement inflation. A no-effort way to reduce costs (at least from a GAAP perspective).

Considering our option from RDU, they're the best.  American, Delta, USAir and others treat you like crap and charge you service fees for the privilege. SWA has always treated us pretty well, despite the cattle-car boarding process.  And at least the new terminal for SWA will make the waiting easier.

Are they removing the seats from airplanes to pack more customers in?
