Special technique used in Ireland to unload kegs.

What? Nearly every beer delivery driver in the UK uses pretty much the same method. Health and Safety prohibits the drivers from physically lifting the full kegs off the back of the truck, so this is the easiest way to do it.

Isn't that the same place though?  I'm not sure what you're trying to say here.

No. Dublin, Ireland, is a different country to the United Kingdom. Also, it's often implied, but never stated, that when something apparently originated in Ireland, then it's also implied that the 'thing' or 'method' being shown is generally regarded as being backwards, stupid, or downright dangerous. It's the result of decades of unfairly stereotyping the Irish as being dim-witted.

sorry, Dublin is IN a different country to the UK. Northern Ireland is part of the UK, Southern Ireland (Eire) isn't.

So what your saying is that keg technique is common all across Britain and the irish have hang ups that make us here in America's hat seem well adjusted and comfortable with our world standing?

Makes sense to me.  You don't mess your back up, you don't chip the bricks in the street, and it takes a modicum of skill to do well.
