Agreed.

I love this comment exchange:

Pretending to help bring the Gingerbread Man away from everyone chasing him, the fox lures him and eats him.  This story is not like that.  I'd liken this more to the story of the Three Billygoats Gruff, where this stupid troll is supposedly hiding, and the big tough billygoat kicks his ass and everyone gets to eat grass on the other side of the bridge.  And I think the troll gets raped in jail by one of those really bad Norwegian trolls.  Ironically, Norwegian Wood was being played in the background.

If it wasn't for the fact that most criminals are pretty damned stupid, cops would have a much lower case closure rate. It's hard to say whether we'd be better off if potential criminals were brighter. On the one hand maybe they'd be smart enough to not become criminals in the first place. On the other hand, if they still did, they'd be tougher to catch.

I love that people actually believe this. Just because the cops are able to catch the dumb criminals, it's silly to assume that there aren't smart criminals operating under the radar...and you have no idea how many of them there are because they're not out getting caught.

Wow, that guy actually looks stupid.

When sassing somebody who has tried to put one over on me, I always tell my victims that I'm not as dumb as they look.

Nana's Vibrator: Pretending to help bring the Gingerbread Man away from everyone chasing him, the fox lures him and eats him.  This story is not like that.

Agreed. However, It is quite similar in that the Gingerbread Man is overconfident of his ability to evade capture, just because he happens to be fast. He doesn't count that the sly trickery of the Fox to bait him, (or in this case the PD to bait him) to overcome his ability to evade capture.

Most people are stupid.

Therefore, statistically, most criminals are stupid.

Add in things like income level vs. criminal activity, risk aversion, education, and you have the Drake Equation of stupid criminals. (Which, basically, will lower the likely % of smart criminals.)

That is probably from eyebrow piercings. That leaves scars that are evident years later even if you stop wearing them.

The guy who lives on Drury Lane.  He was a mean mofo, that one.  You may not know this, but he was an integral member of the CIA and he single-handedly stopped an invasion by the Communists during the Cold War era--the KGB plot called OPERATION CANDYLAND.  Stopped them with well-placed M&Ms to the head shot by a slingshot.
