The Register's headlines have always been funny, Failmitter.

Welcome to the Internet. Here's your cat.

Oh yeah I'm stealing the word "fondleslab" from that article. So fitting.

It's what they've used for at least the past few years for tablets in general and does seem to be pretty descriptive of real world use by too many people.

I will now shortly be called an iHater™ and/or a paid shill by a certain user with no capitals in their nick despite referencing no specific companies in my post.

That one was pretty funny, but I generally hate the Register's headlines.  They're the most SENSATIONALISTIC pieces of CRAP, and they OVERUSE "BOFFINS".

You sound like a man that needs a lot of battery life charts posted at him.

The standard issue ipad is already on the chubby side. For a 9 inch device, it weighs more than most 10" tablet and I'm sure a larger version will gain at least another 500g or more, putting it in the same obese category as the Surface Pro. A device that size is going to be downright uncomfortable to hold in one hand for long periods of time; the only use scenario I see is "the miniature TV to set on your belly and watch in bed" (and it's not even a great fit for that since ipads use 4:3 screens). I hope to hell it has a kickstand.

emocomputerjock: battery life charts

Those are always enjoyable as well, yes.  Wall-to-wall charts, as far as the eye can see.
