Honestly, this just raises more questions.

A) How about a suggestion of the culture?
B) Why do they have garb from that culture laying around? If they don't, he personally went and bought some clothes just to make some jokes about some dude's wife? Really?
C) Why are we not allowed to know a single detail about this?
D) If the culture the person is referring to is "Bro" culture or "Parrothead" culture, are we supposed to laud Incognito for his actions?

Incognito would get owned by any half way decent heavyweight. He would have to cut a ton of weight and all that muscle makes one slow as crap.

I would have (actually, love) to see what Cain or JDS would do to him.

HELLO, AS SOMEONE FROM THE INTERNET I CAN ASSURE YOU I AM AN EXPERT IN MANY THINGS INCLUDING THIS SITUATION.

THIS NEVER HAPPENED AND IS JUST A SMEAR CAMPAIGN BY PEOPLE WHO NEVER PLAYED OR COACHED FOOTBALL. AND IF IT DID IT DOESN'T MATTER BECAUSE THIS PERSON SHOULD JUST GROW A PAIR OF BALLS AND BE STRONG LIKE A MAN WITH MUSCLES INSTEAD OF WEAK LIKE A WOMAN WHO HAS A VAGINA AND SHAME BLOOD AND FEELINGS. THESE ARE GLADIATORS AND WARRIORS INVOLVED IN A WAR AND IF YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN IN AN NFL LOCKER ROOM YOU COULD NOT POSSIBLY UNDERSTAND. BACK IN THE DAY THE PLAYERS COULD RIP THE LEGS OFF EACH OTHER AND USE THEM TO BEAT DOWN THE CHEERLEADERS UNTIL THEY WERE UNCONCIOUS ENOUGH FOR SEX RIGHT ON THE SIDELINES AND THE WORLD DID NOT END. WE MIGHT AS WELL JUST PUT SKIRTS ON THE WHOLE LEAGUE BECAUSE THIS IS THE WUSSIFICATION OF AMERICA AND RONNIE LOTT WOULD BE ROLLING OVER IN HIS GRAVE, I WEEP FOR MY COUNTRY.

Lost Thought 00: A) It would give away the staffer's identity

To people that know all the Dolphins' staff, maybe. I'd like a little more information than "garb from some culture." Because literally, this could be a bro getting mad that Incognito came in with a popped collar and some aviators and made fun of him. Which, again, would be absolutely acceptable.

This is an utterly worthless claim meant to evoke the worst possible thing in the mind of whoever reads it.

2013-11-19 10:35:39 PM
But hey, we've already reported on obviously joking (though still offensive) language as though Incognito was literally threatening Martin's family. Why not just pretend this was a travesty, too? After all, even when Martin said he didn't quit because of Incognito and that it came out that Martin said the same type of sh*t regularly, no one bothered to care about that. It was all on Incognito at that point.

Is Incognito a dumb jock? Sure. Is this likely being way overblown because people are excited about the possibility of a big payday over some sh*t that lots of people deal with every day? Absolutely.

Well, that's certainly one possible interpretation. Another is that he wrapped a towel around his head, pretending to be Sikh. Another is that he threw on a sheet like a Burkha and pretended he was the staff person's wife. Etc.

Now, let's be logical... Do you think that this would be reported by two separate people and an attorney get appointed by the NFL to investigate if it was your popped-collar hypothesis? Or do you think that, for example, one of the other possibilities is more likely, particularly when Incognito is a white guy from New Jersey, home of the popped-collar bros?

Sure, it could all be nothing and this could be overblown and utterly worthless. But are you willing to put money where your mouth is and bet that the staffer in question is a bro? 'Cause without knowing more, and just going by Occam's Razor, I'll bet you a month of TF that he isn't.

They're appointing ANOTHER attorney over this? Or is it all part of the same thing about Martin getting his feelers hurt?

Appears to be a separate one. Makes sense too - the NFL would want their an attorney representing their interests specifically, separate from Martin's interests. Specifically, if there's racially-based workplace harassment going on, they could be facing a Title VII complaint, so they'd want to jump on that shiat fast as a way to show their lack of intent or prior knowledge and good faith effort to resolve it to reduce their liability. Martin (and the unnamed staffer) would be on the other side of that hypothetical complaint, so they'd want independent representation.

Oh, and with the caveat that the Dolphins' staff directory is incomplete and only shows the head and assistant trainers and not any underlings or the random physical therapists and the like, one ethnic name jumps out immediately -  Marwan Maalouf. He's also apparently newer to the team than Incognito, which would make him a potential target for harassment. Now, according to the Google, Maalouf's from Ohio, but it is a Lebanese name. So, that burkha sheet thing may be a pretty good guess.

2013-11-19 11:34:50 PM
Oh, and he's the assistant special teams coordinator, which means he probably doesn't have enough clout for Incognito to be too scared to harass him.

Except none of the parties works for 6the NFL. This seems to be a Dolphins workplace thing. The NFL has interests but not specifically workplace interests.

Seems like the most probable candidate.  A special teams coach would have to spend some time with the offensive line, so he had a decent chance to be subjected to Incognito's brand of humor, and from what I can find his wife Dana is fairly attractive as well--enough to draw crude innuendo anyway.

The defense of Incognito desperation is really getting rank smelling. So he told the guy players were farking his wife! So he would belittle and demean the guy. So what if it is now a pattern of behavior

Yes prick, I'm sure as hell not going to be made to feel uncomfortable at work trying to earn a living to support my family. I'm way past high school age so the option of "taking it outside" with an abusive co-worker went out the window when I got married, had kids, bought house, etc...

So, what you're saying, is this staff member should have continued to silently suffer ethnic slurs and sexual remarks about his wife from this POS because?

You must be trolling.

Agreed.  I don't know if I would have liked to interact with Tillman, but he was a man and a human being who deserved respect.  Incognito is just some scumbag who brings out the filthy detritus who would support him being an a$$hole.

Personally, the people who would support that bloated sack Incognito are no different than the Penn State molesters who supported that coach.

Being an a$$hole has absolutely nothing to do with being a tough guy.  It just means you are an a$$hole.  And probably molest your children as well.

The way you so lightly gloss over the ethnic insults is pathetic. He's a staff member of the team, not a "bro". As far as sex talk about the man's wife, which you conveniently leave out of your posts during this thread, there is no way in farking hell that goes unpunished. He may have suffered in silence for the sake of his job and the high probabliity that he is nowhere near the size needed for a physical confrontation, now a little anonymous news tip to ESPN at this most inopportune moment to get a little payback by pretty much making sure his $5 mil a year job gets yanked must be somewhat sweet.

I don't give a crap about the players beef that started this but pulling this on non-player employees of the team half his size and making a fraction of a players salary is BS.
