Whatever you do, do *not* show up late to the party with a 3L bottle of Mad Elf and expect that you can "catch up" by drinking the whole thing in 2 hours.

/I made it 90% of the way, then politely excused myself, made it to the side yard, puked on the chimney, then stumbled across the street to the relative comfort of my own spinning bed.

Beer snobbery. Never quite understood it. Whatever someone recommends, someone else will slag it off. Not say it's not to their taste, but is pure pi**water

Every year I get a 12 pack of this to save until next year.

Number of bottles of that in my house every June: 0.

I'm not good at aging beer.

Pale Moon's Winter Abbey is tasty.

It's not a decent winter ale unless the ABV is above 7%.  Oh and it should taste good too.

Every year my friends and family conspire to leave a case of Harpoon Winter Warmer somewhere in my house and every year I have to figure out a polite way of giving it away to someone.

I want Cinnamon on my toast....not in my goddamned beer.

I normally find the holiday styles too syrupy or cloying but Port City makes a good one.

I was halfway in to my second beer before I realized it was 7.8%.

That only happens in your head (or with generic mass produced beer).

New Holland's Cabin Fever Brown is highly recommended. Actually liked it better than Bell's Christmas Ale.

Spiced beers are gross.  Water, malt, hops, yeast.  If I wanted my beer to taste like cinnamon spice potpourri, I'd never do that because that's disgusting.

Trader Joe's gets a 750ml custom bottling from Unibroue that's awesome.  But it's even better after 4-8 months in the bottle.  Fantastic in the summer with buffalo wings - especially sweet barbeque or spicy Asian sauce.

1) I'm 39.
B) I was 34 then.
4) Were I bragging, I would have told you that I finished it and then continued doing shots until dawn.

I've aged some of that for 3-4 years.  Which is to say I forgot I had some from last year, and the year before that, and then ended up finding them.  Still tasty, but the carbonation fades quickly on the older stuff and it loses some of the zing on the palate.

I really need to see how many bottles from how many years back I have.

Oldest I've had is 1.5 years.  But I have a friend with a bottle of 2008 that I'm dying to try.  I like a lower carbonation beer anyway, so it's all good for me.
