First thing I thought of was this.

The wife and I just saw this commercial a few minutes ago during Today... wtf. Lawlz.

First thing I said to my wife after seeing that commercial was 'How about those clappers' and she just busted out laughing.

2013-11-19 09:18:41 AM
At least it's not the one with the creepy redhead kid speaking in tongue.

I had three of my FB friends post it on my page yesterday, so I watched it to see what the fuss was about. After waking the husband up from laughing, I watched it three more times. I think it's absolutely hilarious, and plan to hit the local K to buy some JB boxers in support. Anybody that's offended has NO sense of humor. Those guys were more covered than half the women I see on TV.

/can I have a Blue Light Special on those hotties???

Same here... I actually chuckled out loud.

Would be happy to help those guys tune their instruments.

If you want me to pretend that the guys really have bells under their pants, at least have the same sound, come from the same guy on the second song.

K-Mart still exists? I thought they went out of business in the early 90s.

2013-11-19 12:27:22 PM
Will they ship my pants?

One does not associate that type of eye-catching imaginative advertisement with K-Mart.

As a result I doubt it will actually have any impact on brand perception/awareness and will likely not change shopping/purchasing habits.

Boy, I really hope someone got fired for that blunder.

Let me guess: They shipped their pants.

Try the same commercial with women's breasts and there would a major outcry of sexism.

Seriously, I mean, what are we to believe, that these are some sort of a magic balls or something?

They've been on a role, between this and the previously-mentioned "ship my pants" and the "big gas savings" commercials.

Exactly what I thought. If you have that much money to spend on advertising, maybe they should funnel some dollars off and buy a can of paint and a pressure washer for many of their locations. Oh, and how about a couple trees or something in that overly-sized parking lot? At least look like you are trying when people actually come to your stores.

Kmart just about fired their ad agency (Draftfcb) earlier this year, so this is the advertising agency's version of a Hail Mary pass.

Not that I think it'll help much, unless they also put some money into fixing their stores up and lowering their prices.

Give them time.  Recovering from raping little children takes a while when you get old

Should have had them turn and walk off and have a bunch of bells ringing. Not really that difference, but puts a bow on it.

What a bunch of bell-ends.

I feel bad for the ad agency.   Good commercials that won't equate to good sales because the brand is so maligned.
