(USA Today)   Sure we can't insure our people, but at least we can squeeze every last drop of oil from the earth in an increasingly unsustainable manner. Wait what?   (usatoday.com) divider line 13

Because obamacare has done such a good job at increasing the number of insured.

Well, we all know how supportive the GOP has been in this endeavor.

Write that down and bring it up again in a year.

Global Carbon Emissions Set to Reach Record 36 Billion Tons in 2013

We're cooking the planet, but hey at least some rich people are getting richer.

In his weekly radio address, President Obama more or less took credit for America's dramatic shift to becoming the world's largest energy producer.

Well, considering that you blame all of its failures on him, you should give him credit when things so...

Oh wait,

I get it now...

Fits in well with the NPR segment on the pet-coke piles building up in IL and Indiana that result from processing the tar-sands oil from Canada.
//there was no plan for how to deal with it (still none) and it is now blowing around in the wind and probably a health hazard.

But fracking will create perpetual jobs!  After the oil industry has completely destroyed the environment it will take armies of workers hundreds of years to clean up the devastation.  Think of the hazard pay!  It's really a win-win for capitalism.  Now I know why that dirty injun is crying like a little biatch, he's just pissed that he didn't think of it first.

There are good jobs in Japan right now for people who want to dismantle a nuclear reactor.

Even more jobs!  When workers retire after a 30 minute shift they can move on to more lucrative careers in a circus sideshow.  And when that career is cut short by metastasizing tumors their families can sell the fluorescent corpses for use as nouveau Chinese lanterns at the Tokyo Olympics.

So many opportunities, short-sighted policies and willful environmental destruction should be a large part of every modern economy.
