1) They didn't "take his advice", they did what they would've done anyway and thought they could use political snark to convince the cops to let them go.

2)  I'll see your "accidentally advocating illegal behaviour" and raise you a national advertising campaign actively promoting illegal behaviour

Is it really only a 100,000 so far ?     That isn't even enough to fill a large college football stadium on a Sat.

They really made it seem like the number of people who 'needed' Obamacare was in the tens of millions.

Maybe that was a lie....?

I heard he played a round of golf this weekend and got 5 holes in one.

He also ran the 100 faster than Usain, but didn't want to discourage him so he kept it secret.

Obama can bench 800 pounds.

I liked my insurance and I was able to keep it.

Obama invented Post-it notes

This has been the most open and transparrent administration ever.

The private sector is doing fine.

He has visited all 57 states.

He cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term.

He shut down Gitmo.

Some employers (such as the one I work for, owned by a man with picture of GWB in his office) are re-enrolling their employers into new health plans as of December 2013 instead of the usual January 2014 (PDF link).

Some insurance carriers are encouraging employers to
change their policy years to December 1 through November
30, effective December 1, 2013 to delay complying with
certain design requirements that apply to plan years beginning
on or after January 1, 2014. It is important that employers
considering changing their policy years consult counsel.

---

For health care reform purposes, changing a policy year is
not relevant; rather, the plan year is relevant.

They're avoiding essential benefits, the limit we'd pay on deductibles (cannot exceed $2,000/
individual, $4000/family), and providing a bronze level of coverage ...yes, companies that are doing this are putting their own costs for 12 months above the protection the law would otherwise mandate.

But that's a debate for another time.

What IS the point is: work places that aren't doing this will have their employers covered by plans with levels of coverage as mandated by the ACA. That's millions of people that will have health coverage as mandated by the Creditable Coverage sections of the law.

It's not f**king rocket science, people.

Did you know that many states specifically forbade this practice? "If you like your plan, you can keep it - well, not really, and not even if you TRY to keep it by renewing early."

I don't know about your company, but for us it was a choice between early renewal at 14%, or face a 40% increase which may have may have meant dropping coverage all together, or making the employees contribute for the first time since we started 15 years ago. We decided that since we actually have a very good plan, we would renew early and save the $200/month/per employee. Deal with next year next year.
