More like Captain  Death To America, right?! Right, guys? Guys?....

I'm so lonely.

And that's the problem.

Just so we're being clear, that's bad. Being unwilling to consider points of view different than your own, including things like "what does it mean to be patriotic?" and meeting those differing points of view with deadly force, should not be a point of pride.

Actually, southerners as a rule tend to be a lot smarter then we get credit.  Sure we have some idiots, and there are some places in the south that still think it is the 1950s, but generally most people get along.  Sorry if that doesn't confirm to the stereotypes you have formed in your head.

Well, not to be all dirty furriner immigrant spawn or anything, but I kinda think a Sikh in a Captain America outfit is quintessentially what America is supposed to be about. The good parts, anyway.

FTA: 3) If you stereotype people, then you have fallen victim of the malady itself. To all the people who have given me advice to stay away from white Republican places like Jersey, Florida, Texas and the South, let me say this. If I had stereotyped the world the way it may see me in my turban and beard, I would never have  walked out as Captain America. Stop projecting your insecurities. There are many good people all over America despite the political labels we wear. Intolerant asses reside all over the place. New York has its fair share.

When I flew to Austin a few years ago I was sitting in front of one of your state officials, can't remember his name, and he asked if I had ever been to Texas.  When I said no he said "Austin is the most un-Texan city in Texas."  Boy was he right.  Especially when I ran into Leslie Cochran.

I don't know if I have just been lucky but every Sikh I have met have been among the nicest people ever, they seem to have a wicked yet self depreciating sense of humor. Last year I built a Dilruba for one, when I explained that I had no experience with building anything in the sitar family he said it was ok because he couldn't play so it would all balance out in the end.

It isn't for the most part.  80% of the South is still wrongfully judged by the example of the 20% of it's population that remains woefully ignorant and stuck in the past.  I am from Tennessee and have no problem with other peoples ethnicity, religion, country of origin, or traditions.  Different points of view make for interesting conversations and enlightening experiences.

After  The Avengers was in theaters, there was a group of kids in my apartment complex who'd constantly play Avengers on the lawn outside. All of the kids were either Indian or eastern Asian; I thought it was amusingly American that the Indian kids were arguing over who gets to be Captain America.

Nobody wanted to be Hawkeye

Once they realise that Hawkeye, while the least-powerful of the MCU Avengers, is the only one implicitly nailing Romanov, they'll reconsider.

Then everyone wishes they were Hawkeye.

Why is the 80% letting the 20% suppress voting rights, promote creationism, and oppose a woman's right to her own body, among other things?

Yep, Stubbs BBQ does blow. It's not even on the radar of where to eat BBQ in this town. In fact, it's not even one of the better venues to see bands... oh well, better luck next time.

It's readily apparent by your lumping me in with your perception of everyone else in the South that there is nothing I can say that will change your mind and your just spoiling for a fight.  Pick it with someone else.  I'm not going to be castigated for the words or actions of whomever it was that slighted you either recently or in the past.

Definitely not my favorite, either.  They have pretty good sides, but who goes to a pit for sides?!

Salt Lick in Driftwood is still number one, followed closely by Franklin on 11th, and then there's lots of other good places after that.  Stubbs would be around #150 on the list.
