"This season, probably more than the first and the second, has been carefully plotted out from the beginning."

we dug ourselves into a hole, so now it's time to dig up instead.

if Claire D's character got executed.. quick.. in the first scene... from such a distance that her facial expressions are not clearly visible ... now that would be some fantastic screenwriting, worthy of an emmy !

Best show on TV at the moment. This season has be amazing. All the non-Dana scenes more than make up for the Dana scenes.

Among shows that will have more seasons, only Game of Thrones might be better.

I enjoyed the first two seasons, this one has been painful to me, I feel like overall they have had about maybe two episodes of material and the season is about to end.  the 12 episode seasons would other wise seem completely insufficient but this seems to be dragging, enjoy the characters but I wish there was just more going on,

no one forces me to watch shows but can be a glutton for punishment

watching hostages, awful and yet keep watching

Seasons that try to make characters focal points for entire episodes (or even worse, blocks of them) generally don't work too well for me, and Homeland is no exception.

/Still enjoy the show, but at this point I'm simply trudging through it to see what happens.

This and this. I really want to believe it will get better.  I've never been much of a quivering-chin-Carrie-fan nor a god-I-hate-everyone-Dana-fan and we're getting nothing but this season. Needs moar Brody.

OK, pick something else.

The Newsroom?
Downton Abbey?
Sons of Anarchy?
Sherlock? (I really like this show ... wouldn't be against this argument)
Walking Dead? (not for me)
Suits?
Justified?

Maybe I'm missing something, or TV just sucks nowadays since Breaking Bad is done, but I think Homeland and Game of Thrones are easily two of the best out there.

*SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS*

The show is about a quarter-inch from jumping the shark. I swear to Jeasus, if it becomes a "single mom trying to raise a kid all alone" show, im out.
