What are "Things I can do with MS Paint?"

2013-11-19 09:46:01 AM
I liked the singing in the rain one, the rest are just a single farking line basically.

2013-11-19 09:46:05 AM
That is quite possibly the dumbest thing I have ever seen on Fark.  And I've ventured into the political tabs once or twice.

2013-11-19 09:51:13 AM
Some of these are alright.  Some of them are just stupid.  Around the World in 80 days is a dumb one.  Two Towers, Pulp Fiction, Hunt for Red October are also stupid.

//Thinks a line, a circle, random paint, a single dot on a canvas, etc. are stupid even if "experts" consider them art.

It's not even "The Hunt for THE Red October." It's "The Hunt for Red October."

At least make like you've seen the movie.

I thought it was clever, though Pulp Fiction seemed the weakest of the lot.

It's Uma Thurman's vagina.

i looked at the Jaws one and thought, "Oh man, its Tron!" then got to the Tron one and said: "Nope, thats Tron... and it looks like Midnight in Paris, Around the World in 80 Days and Empire of the Sun but with different colors."

Still neat to see though. Only ones I guessed what was close to the movie was 101 Dalmatians, Tron and Jaws.

Ten minimalisms is too many.

I, for one, am waiting for MAXimalist versions of things.

What does a turtles butt have to do with Superman?

2013-11-19 11:49:08 AM
The Superman one could be fine if they rounded out the front of the line.  Singing in the Rain was good.  Tron Legacy was fine.

101 Dalmations looks like a dinner plate, though -- she was going to turn the dogs into a coat, not eat them.

And Hunt for Red October looks like it should be surrounded by "E Plurbis Anus".

the artist is fine.

it's minimalism that sucks.

Say. You might know. What was the name of that short film about the kids who never saw the sun, maybe in the future maybe on another planet and then it finally comes out and that one kid gets locked inside by the other kids. It's been Farking with me for a while. Pretty sure it's based on a short by a Sci Fi author. It came up in conversation a couple years ago about how some of the things we saw in school way back when and how some of them had a profound effect on us as kids....Thsnks!

Wrong. It was a stylized representation of the pineapple slice on a Big Kahuna Burger, shown vertically to depict the moment at which Jules shoots Brad, causing the burger to jerk out of Brad's hand.

C'mon, it's pretty farking obvious.

THIS.

I thought subby was joking about complaints to the right but ugh.

He does suck. A good minimalist poster should not need the title plastered on the piece in order for the audience to identify the movie he or she is trying to convey. The art should do all the work. Even if the art is minimalist.

These posters need the title because the art is too barren. So, bad art, bad poster.

Reminds me of a line in a movie when looking at some art in a gallery....

" That's so amazing...Its like a circle.....and then they added a line in the middle"

/love that movie.

whenever talking about silly art, i always liked who's afraid of virginia woolfe when george talks about the painting:

- Who did the painting?

- Some Greek with a mustache Martha attacked one night in a...

- It's got a...

 - Quiet intensity?

- Well, no...

-  Then a certain noisy relaxed quality maybe? How about a quietly noisy relaxed intensity?
