Here's an idea:

Don't go to Google maps and look for your son's dead body. And if you do, don't complain to the media about it, Barbra.

I doubt that it's me, this suburban area is so low-density that they wouldn't be able to kill enough people to make it worthwhile.

You can't sanitize the world, but a father asking that the image of his murdered son be removed from the map images is well within realistic expectations.

I was in a meeting with a client about a year ago and I pulled up his house on street view to show him something, and he said, "Oh wow! That's my house. Can I call my wife and tell her to come out and wave??" He was not kidding.

Man, when I was a kid and we wanted to see a body we used to have to WALK the railroad tracks. We'd walk and walk, and there was this junkyard complete with dog we had to get through...

Now I'm all old and have my own dog. When kids get on my lawn it all about SIC BALLS CHOPPER! They run and run. It's hilarious.

On the grounds that showing dead bodies of children is pretty tasteless?

I'm not saying they would pass legislation making it illegal, but they could. And I'm not saying the courts would let the law stand, but it's possible.

As you so eloquently pointed out, Google really doesn't care about this. They aren't going to fight for their right to show dead kids on Google Maps.

Well, you would need to deal with Google, who is the maker of rules in this scenario.  They may have, in turn, felt that they were dealing with fools and that they would be entitled to cheat you blind.

But, I know you aren't up to that, because I can read your mind.
