Oh, the cover. About a Girl was better but not as good as the B side of Sliver.

You know, subby, normally when someone writes anything with the words "best...of all time" in a headline, I assume it's a blatant troll. But I'd be willing to accept this one. Not without some debate, but it's way up there for sure.

Oh Me.

That is all.

I heard some blues guy cover that once. Not a great cover but worth listening if you like Nirvana I guess.  "Lead Belly" or some shiat.

I just had this thought the other day. His unplugged 'Layla' might be the best cover of all time.

Oh, I see I found the thread for Gen Y kids to wax poetic about their teen years.

Have at it then, kiddos.

It is. Alice in Chains is higher for me, but this is top three.

Came for LL Cool J's deodorant balls; leaving disappointed.

Nirvana is GenX territory.

I rate Clapton higher on the Unplugged scale, but Nirvana's was a close second.

/Thanks, that was perhaps the most talentless hackathon of bad "music" i have ever had the misfortune to hear. My whole house is stupider, for having heard it. May god have mercy on your soul.

GRCooper: LGT Clapton Unplugged?

You know, I had both Clapton Unplugged and Nirvana Unplugged as a youth.  As an adult, I have Nirvana Unplugged.   Why not Clapton?  Because he wasn't as good as Nirvana.  Over a career that realistically spanned 40 years, he managed to have what, 4 decent songs?  Great job.  Nirvana had more great songs on Bleach.  Also, whenever I hear Tears in Heaven, I want to invent a time machine, go back in time and push Clapton out of the window with his son.  Anything that Clapton did prior to that which could have been construed as good is wiped out because of that awful song.  Nirvana never got the chance to become old and lame so perhaps it isn't a fair comparison.

AIC's unplugged was boring.  I hate to say it, as I really like AIC, but their unplugged was just acoustic versions that sounded like the album versions.

Sure, except it wasn't "unplugged" in the truest sense of the word.

THIS
Truly one of the most overated bands ever. Best thing to come out of that band is Dave Grohl.

Probably because Farkers hate hipsters, and Bob Dylan is the First Hipster.

For when you want to hear a corpse sing.  I don't see how Staley didn't fall over dead in the middle of it.

This wasn't even the best Unplugged from a grunge band.   Best of all time?   No.

10,000 Maniacs had a great unplugged, and the first, LL Cool J, was innovative in its approach.  If it weren't for Nirvana's, I would say that it belonged to 10,000 Maniacs.

I couldn't listen to Curt for about 15 years after he killed himself. Suiciders disgust me personally. farking cowards. Especially if they've got young children.

After that span of time I decided Frances Bean probably was better off without him in her life. I can listen to Nirvana and enjoy it now but I still harbor a fair measure of disgust for Curt. His stint in rehab was a sham and he knew it- he barely tried. He didn't want to try. Not even for his own daughter. fark that guy.

This is exactly my opinion of the guy. And looking back on it I really don't think his music is as compelling as people make it out to be.

Who's Curt and why would you expect him to raise Kurt's kid?
