ZombieApocalypseKitten: Snapper Carr: JonBuck: I see "Gluten Free!" proudly displayed on ham steaks. It's the health fad du jour.

Yes. It's equally as stupid as any of the previous health fads. Unless you have an allergy to gluten (which affects a whopping .75% of the population), a gluten free diet offers no known benefits.

Dude, I don't have an allergy to gluten, per se.  But I hate pooping rocks.  Bonus: Most junk food is off limits or too expensive.

If you're pooping rocks because you're eating flour, then there are half-dozen other things wrong with your diet.

Surool: Sybarite: All vodka is gluten-free unless there is some flavored vodka out there where someone adds a gluten-containing ingredient.

I'm expecting to see bottled water with a gluten free tag any day now.

I have powdered cheese for my popcorn that is labeled gluten free.

Here's a test for people out there...

Are you allergic to gluten? No? The shut the f*ck up... you don't need to spend the 50-75% mark up for gluten free stuff.

The above opinion has been brought to you by the American Association of People Who Talk When They Have No Knowledge of the Subject at Hand, or AAPWTWTHNKSH.  Helping muddy the conversational waters since 1784.

/ you appear to not have a gluten allergy.  Try living gluten free for 3 weeks and tell me if  you arent a different person.

If I was famous, I would make a designer vodka too. Easy way to make a fortune. Sit back and rake in the cash while smug "connoisseurs" talk about how their brand of ethanol and water tastes better than someone else's brand of ethanol and water.

Gee, there's so much science in your post, you must be correct.
