I get to put my funny stuff up early? Great.

*THE FOLLOWING IS NOT MINE*

'Twas the night before the championship, when all through the track. Not a creature was stirring, except for Clint Bowyer sipping some Jack.

The flags were all hung at the line with care. In hopes that tomorrow NASCAR might grow a pair.

The cars were nestled all snug in the garage. While pictures of "remember us" were scattered by Dodge.

And Richard with his wine and Austin with the hat. Had just settled down for an awkward Dale Sr. chat.

When out on turn four, there arose such a fuss. Kenseth sprang from his coach to piss on Jimmie's bus.

Away to the tire, he peed in a flash. Tore open the tank and pissed in the gas.

But I heard Kenseth exclaim as he pissed out of sight. Happy championship to JJ, but you're not winning without a fight.

DanZero: Wow. super fast submission. Blueorangefyre this had better be yours! I bowed out only because you said you had a killer headline

Yes it is mine. Actually DZ I thought you were gonna submit a headline and I was, um, encouraged to submit it as fast as humanly possible. :P

I went with this because, while WWE Raw has gotten too idiotic for me to handle lately, the one thing I saw the fWc constantly chatting about was the recent angle of Daniel Bryan vs. what I'm assuming is called The Authority handpicking somebody that was 'best for business' as the WWE champion, and screwing him along the way.  I saw a parallel between Johnson and Kenseth/Harvick, especially after they called a speeding penalty on Kenseth for being .006 MPH over the pit road speed limit.  After seeing the blatant farkery that was the last 20 laps of the Nationwide finale ('WHAR RED FLAG WHAR?' was the scream on my stream's chatbar, and eventually we were saying it too in the FB group), I've come to the conclusion that NASCAR will probably stop at NOTHING to ensure a Johnson championship, even if he wrecks.

And now for the last time this season:

ARE YOU NOT SPORTS ENTERTAINED?

Unless the fix is in like at the end of the "regular season" JJ has it locked up. One can only imagine what Brian France would do if there were any evidence that someone wiped out JJ to keep him from winning the title. Would he nullify the entire race, ban the offender forever?

Later today we get to see exactly how "sports entertainment" NASCAR has gone.

We actually don't need to wait that long; it already happened.  Sam Hornish had led the most laps prior to the last caution.  Four-car crash on the frontstretch within like 15 laps to go changed all that.  Any other time when absolutely NOTHING is on the line, they'll throw a red flag.  Instead, they took their own sweet time cleaning the track, even bringing the cars down pit road a few laps.  They aborted restarting twice I think because they were trying to clean up the speedy dry.   It caused Kyle Larson to clinch most laps led.  Once the race finally got back underway with six laps to go, Hornish had practically no time to try to run down the leader, which would've been his only chance.  Austin Dillon clinched it by three points, because car #3 winning a championship was better for business than Hornish completing his redemption as a stock car driver and winning a championship.

Put simply, if Johnson walks away with the championship tomorrow, the boos will not be louder than they were when Dillon won the Nationwide championship.

Oh I love Prime!  I live pretty close to an Amazon warehouse, so I can order something like right now and it'll be at my doorstep tomorrow.  Plus I can watch more movies than Netflix.  Last time I checked they had every single original timeline Star Trek movie for free viewing.  Yes, even Shatner's Folly, aka Star Trek V.

I'm about two hours from a warehouse, so Prime is very good to me.  My laptop is broken right now, so I haven't been watching many movies or shows lately. They're just not the same on an iPhone or Kindle Fire.

I recommend getting a Roku.  They're pretty awesome, and easier to get streaming on that than, say, an iTV.

Speaking of which, does anyone know why there was a four point difference between the Owners' Championship and the Drivers' Championship?  Do they not reset the points (ala The Chase) for Owners in Nationwide?

No.  Its just the Cup series that has this monstrosity of a "playoff" system.

Johnson could win 10 championships, and he will never be seen as an equal to Petty or Earnhardt. Simply because he has only earned a couple of those championships. Sticking with standard scoring, he would only have 2 or 3 titles to his name. Under standard scoring, Petty and Earnhardt each have 7.

Johnson is the 5 time Chase Champion. That's it. He was awesome for 10 races, not entire seasons.

Okay, I heard Mike Helton talking about adding the Chase system to Nationwide and was left with the impression it had implemented already.  I don't typically follow Nationwide/Busch/Grand National, so thanks.   But now I've I got no idea how the discrepancy could occur.

He should go to NWide or the Truck series. Even at his age, he would still be a championship contender.

I do the weekend (I live 90 minutes south on 95 so it's still home every night), so it's ARCA and the trucks on Friday, NNS on Saturday and then the 500 on Sunday.

I like to think of him more as the Doug Floutie of NASCAR.  Traveling from team to team as their backup driver until he's needed to step up and fill a starter's position.
