Some people are serious about cup size.

Why are internet death threats taken seriously? Real death threats are scratched onto the target's windshield with a piece of raw pumice in the middle of the night.

Because if they don't take them seriously and the target of the threats ends up dead, that's a liability nightmare for local law enforcement and the social media platform(s) that the threats were made on.

I don't get people like this.  It's not as if she posed for a photo that was licensed for the Obamacare website.

Twitter death threat. Oh, my God. That is for reals.

I'd shoot her in the face.

Now there is a Tomb Raider worthy of some death threats

In spite of heavily leaning on several game-play elements I normally despise (jumping puzzles, quick-time events, combos), I thoroughly enjoyed the last Tomb Raider game.

Camilla Luddington was also the face model for 2013 Lara?

I'm... not seeing it, TBH.

Hormonal 13-year-olds and the Greater Internet Farkwad TheoryTM
Never a good combination.

Internet death threats are often just temper tantrums because they didn't like a thing. Whether character in a show does something they don't like, a web icon doesn't like a thing, or a new thing turns out to be disappointing. When children are on the internet, they throw proper etiquette out the window and let emotions in the way. Like five year olds when they don't get that lollipop at the store.

/Tomb Raider reboot was pretty good
//Fingers crossed that Thief does good, too

I would choke her. With my penis.

That picture of her looks really weird. It looks like somebody has shopped her head on to a body. Her head looks out of proportion with her body.

But anyway, Angelina Jolie really needs to stop bothering this woman.

My friend apparently had that issue with the Square Enix/Eidos games. That the heads of the characters are a little too big. Guess that's what you get when you model from big headed actors/actresses.

Yep. That picture makes her look like Baby Bonk.

I haven't ever played Tomb Raider, but I loved her in Californication.

/Obligatory

She was one of Charlie Runkle's brilliantly hilariously awkward sexual conquests in Californication.

She's not as outright hot as other Hollywood actresses, but the accent puts her sexiness over the top

Everyone involved in these "death threats" works for Tombraider's publicity company.

The Tomb Raider sequel will have an series of antagonists that write terrible things about Croft in their diaries which flash across the screen. And they will be all copies of the internet death threats. Kind of like the hate mail thing in End of Evangelion.

Someone send her a copy of Gavin deBecker's "The Gift of Fear". Might help her triage whether she needs to take some tw4tter seriously.

I'd raid it.

She is in on of those doctor shows on TV, but she doesn't naked in it.

I guess there wasn't much point in mentioning that.

Twitter people need to get some perspective. Everyone should immediately follow Patton Oswalt and Patrick Stewart.

2013-11-17 01:32:26 AM
I think that it wasn't that someone threatened her on Twitter as much as a lot of someones were threatening her multiple times and giving exact dates and times as to when they'd kill her. There's a big difference between "Go die already, would you?!?" and "It's time, today at 2:15 PM, we will kill!!!". Odds are high that whomever this is, had sent her a few messages (probably under a different handle) before the first one that she took official notice of.

I can see where she would have someone actually investigate this. Even if it's all the work of maybe one or two internet tough guys that wouldn't actually do anything, you shouldn't really take that chance if you get a lot of threats saying that they'll kill you at a specific time if you don't do a specific thing. Fans are weird. Most of the time they're just relatively harmless weirdos that are perfectly happy to root through your trash and sniff your empty milk cartons. Once in a blue moon you get someone who decides to break into your house and reenact Reservoir Dogs' torture scene.

Either way, I want to see video of the police arresting whomever was making the threats. It'd be hilarious if they could get the guy to pee all over himself.

I've always been a fan of Karen Lancaume's portrayal.
