This can't be any worse than allowing the heinous levels of media consolidation.

Also, don't knock Sabado Gigante - Kreutzberger never missed hosting a show for decades.  The man is dedicated to entertaining the hell out of Latin America.

He also went full-bore in bringing out the Hispanic community in the U.S. to help with the Haitian earthquake relief effort.

wildcardjack: I thought Sabado Gigante was live, or at least live-ish. I only see it when I go to my favorite Mexican place, you know, the sort run by Mexicans for Mexicans.

Every restaurant in America -- Indian, Italian, Tex-Mex-Korean-BBQ-fusion ... all have Mexican cooks in the kitchen. Mexicans feed America. So the next time you're at your American steakhouse having American porterhouse with American whiskey ... you're eating Mexican. :)

Ya, 'SCARY SPANISH SHOWS!!' is kinda a nonstarter for me, but then I'm in Texas, where you're legally required to be half a peso from a mexican citizenship anyway (couldn't think of something more racist there).

But can ANYTHING be worse than the combination of Sify, A+E, and so on, showing 'reallity' TV shows 24x7? What have Americans done with our television? Mostly we farking watch people make each other miserable in reallity TV shows like Idol or Survivor, or we watch farking Honey Boo Boo.

Let's give some non-US people a chance. They probably can't must the ability to be such abject miserable failures.

All of this. Where's the fail here? 99% of the channels are for white-bread Amerca, and Latinos are going to be half the population in a lot of states, soon. People in Texas just don't care or learn to deal with it. My late husbund took to Latino hip hop after watching it many times at our local Mexican taco place, even though he didn't speak Spanish.

/sheds tear for SciFi and A&E, what they used to be
