EAIT SUCKAS!

Joe Flacco's cap hit is $6.8M this season.

/in before the haters, I hope.

Chicago should sign Cutler to a three or four year contract, with all the guaranteed money in the first two years.  Give him those two years to see if he can excel in Trestman's offense.  If he doesn't, cut him and draft/sign a QB for the 2016 season.

Cincy should sign Dalton to a long-term contract.  They've got a good defense, they have offensive weapons ... drafting a rookie to take over would smack of the NY Jets when they drafted Sanchez.  All the pieces for a Superb Owl except the inexperienced QB.

San Fran should sign Keap. to a long-term contract too.  See Cincy above.

Is your QB Aaron Rodgers? If the answer is "no", then he is replaceable

Brokenseas: San Fran should sign Keap. to a long-term contract too.

Harbaugh might have to, after tossing Smith out...but the local media is turning on Kaep. Between his lagging, and sometimes absent, production, and his short temper/gives-no-farks attitude, he's on the edge of losing the love he had during the Superb Owl runup.

But with two more full seasons on his current deal, there's plenty of time for all this to work itself out. But it's really surprising to see the press go from "ZOMG it's the FUTURE" to "mistake" in 11 weeks of football.

The problem is next year, it triples.   The dead money on the Ravens is only about 12M.   So, without paying any draft picks or free agents, they're capped out.    So, some more transitions next year.   Yanda maybe?  He's the OL guy whose game has fallen the most this season.

Franchise tag for Cutler. One year to prove himself with Trestman, and prove to the front office he can finish the next season without getting hurt.

Mainly because he has to pick up the slack for Gradkowski.

Three-way trade: Kaepernick to Chicago, Cutler to Cincy, and Dalton to SF. It makes perfect sense.

Hell, he was being put in the same company as Steve Young by the dumber member of  the KNBR morning show. Another voice on that show said he knew Kaepernick was a "rock star" just by watching him warm up next to Smith.   The hype machine kicked in fast and hard on him.

It's a common story. Pittsburgh is facing it this offseason. Quarterbacks inevitably will be pricing themselves out of the NFL after a few years or they'll be getting killed when the team can't pay anybody to protect them.

Well in a way the Vikings are lucky as none of our current qbs are worth paying big bucks.

He's only great against Green Bay. And they can't play each other 16 times a season.

Well, he did go from "who?" to "Could be the best quarterback in NFL history" in less than that. So not really THAT weird.

Also, for Cutler/Dalton, I think the Flacco precedent is fine: You miracle your way to a title, you get paid stacks on stacks. You don't, you get paid like the mediocre QB you are and the team is happy to look for your replacement soon.

Boldin doesn't get open. He wrestles the ball anyway from the defender.  At least he did when he was with the Ravens. (I haven't watched many 49ers games this season)

At this point? Probably. Guy has had knee issues all year, before the browns knocked him out he was improving and possibly looking useful. Now not so much.

imo the QB should make no more than the rest of the O-Line combined because they're often times the most fragile player on the field at any given time other than the punter/kicker... even then i've seen punters/kickers be more physical

putting all your eggs in one basket doesn't necessarily = success

let's ask Aaron Rodgers what he thinks about that...
