"Viking Apocalypse" is the name of my ABBA cover band.

Well, the government shut down.  The last uncontacted Amazon Indian is dead.  The Rich have taken permanent hold of everything.  New York and Miami have both begun to see real flooding.  The biggest tropical storm ever recorded made land fall.  A nuclear reactor was destroyed by an earthquake.  Polio and preventable diseases are returning.  Australia saw fires so intense it melted the wheels of cars.  Yeah, I'm not so sure the Mayans were wrong.

Prank Call of Cthulhu

It's a pretty good show. But I kind of wish they'd spin Floki off into his own show. Just Floki and his trusty boat, sailing around the world having crazy adventures. It could be like a Viking version of Knight Rider.

This gives me a sad. I take it you haven't seen the teaser for series two. :(

Awwwwww, man. I hadn't...until just now. Now I haz a sad too. Maybe they could do a Floki prequel series, like Saul and Breaking Bad.

From the much superior Daily Fail article:

Vikings believed that prior to the apocalypse three freezing winters would follow each other with no summers in between.

Ha! Global warming is a crock!

History channel will carry any show as long as no actual historical facts are involved.

Obama's Reptiloid Master: Arkanaut: Ragnarok? The Twilight of the Gods? I thought that already happened.

It has happened before and shall happen again. Lif and Lifravettr shall be our new Adam and Eve.

/little know fact: Asgard is real and Odin is an alien.

Because of Obama's magic time machine?

Ragnarok? John Hodgman has been there, done that, on New Year's Eve, 1999.

Really? REALLY?

Can I get a year off from the end of the world?

It's as if this planet is in an unstable region of space time and can't be destroyed for very long.

Don't forget the best part of the Ragnarok: zombie apocalypse!

O'er the sea from the north there sails a ship
With the people of Hel, at the helm stands Loki;
After the wolf do wild men follow,
And with them the brother of Byleist goes.

WTF is going on in this picture? It's like the lead singer of a death metal band is making fajitas tonight and then putting his meat tenderizer in his scabbard when he's ready to grill. But Dave from a rival band is gonna steal his dinner horn so the rest of the band won't know when they're ready.

This would never happen to Dethklok.

Smoking GNU: They ran outta calendar space, ya friggin morons. That's all!

It wasn't even running out of space. It's more like a new year, just on a longer scale.

As to TFA, I call bullshiat. The Vikings never gave a date for Ragnarok, other than some point in the future.

Captain Steroid: FTA: "Brothers will fight and kill each other, sisters' children will defile kinship. It is harsh in the world, whoredom rife - an axe age, a sword age - shields are riven - a wind age, a wolf age - before the world goes headlong. No man will have mercy on another," a prophetic poem says.

Dude...

Ragnarok sounds AWESOME! O.O

I've got my swords and axes sharpened.
