"Canadian police say a sweeping child pornography investigation led to the rescue of 386 children around the world "

Reading comprehension - "yank" your head oot of your ass & give it a try!

I laughed out loud not at the kids distress but the headline.

45 TB of kiddie porn?  Jeez.

With TOR also being raided it must be hard times for pedos. I expect a boom in creepy men lurking around playgrounds, and windowless van sales.

That's enough paper to cover Rhode Island 2 sheets deep.

Americans weigh more so total weight divided by child you get less Americans.

Right.  So there's two things here: first, Canadian law may differ from U.S. law; second, the site may be claiming to have only nudist videos and actually have other stuff.  That second one is how the news article reads - that they were hosting lots of other, very graphic videos under the label of "nudist" in the hopes that they could avoid notice.

If they were actually nudist, I would defend them, because there's nothing prurient about it.  But nope, fry 'em.

I don't get it.  I suppose the joke is on Canadians though.  Despite the US dollar and the Canadian dollar being roughly equivalent (actually, the Canadian dollar is only worth 95 cents US at the moment) they still get screwed.

I saw a Mad magazine at the grocery store last night and was amazed that they still printed it, so I picked it up and flipped through it.  And then I looked at the price.  $11.99 US, but $14.99 Canadian.  Whoah.  It was a very thick special edition, but both prices are ridiculous.

If you wanted to adjust for the 5 cent difference, the Canadian price should have only been 60 cents more than the US price - call it a dollar just to cover any unforeseen future fluctuations or maybe just price them the same and say f@ck it, nobody's going to convert US money to Canadian just to save 60 cents on a magazine, right?

I think Mad magazine was only about 60 cents the last time I bought one.  And dammit, now I'm pissed because I forgot to check the back cover to see if there was a fold-in feature.

/out of curiosity, I checked subscription prices because I was thinking I'd willingly pay $12 per year for 12 issues, but noooo, it's $20 per year for 6 issues -no sale, Alfred E. Neuman.

What the hell kind of comparison measure is "stack of paper reaching as tall as 1,500 CN Towers"? I mean, I know that resolution and such makes a big difference in file size for images and videos, but you can use 45 TB to give a more understandable estimate of how many images there are by making few assumptions. If we assume 1MB per image, which will likely be on the high end (thus making this a conservative estimate), you can guess about 47,000,000 images. I mean, sh*t, you'd have to do some sort of conversion like that any way in order to have the end comparison be "a stack of paper reaching as tall as X" anyway!

But wait, they said 1,500 CN Towers. The CN Tower is 553 meters tall. 1500 of them would be 829.5 kilometers (515.4 miles) tall. A piece of printer paper is maybe 1/10th of a millimeter thick. A stack of paper that is 829.5km tall would require 8,295,000,000 pieces of paper. If I did my math right (and I am suspect on that, please someone feel free to correct me), that means they are suggesting that each image file was about 5500 bytes in size. Um... ok?

"naturist movies"   So these are basically German and Eastern European vacation movies?

And 45T only nets you $4 million?

This all sounds like cop math.  All nudity is pornography.  And any hard drive is at capacity with porn.

And exactly 0 children rescued.

gfid: It was a very thick special edition, but both prices are ridiculous.

No, you're just an idiot.

As the magazine's price has been jacked up, 1/2 gallon ice cream has become 1.75 and then 1.5 quart ice cream, and then "frozen dairy dessert" containing milk (not cream) and carageen (main component of scar tissue, so yes it's biological and safe).  Charmin has gone from 650 sheets per roll to 320 sheets per roll to 175 sheets per roll to 162 sheets per roll at 1/4 inch more narrow, while moving from 4 ply to 2 ply (and the no-roll stuff is 1 ply).  Jif has made a slightly narrower 16oz bottle of peanut butter for $3.29 to replace their 18oz bottle of peanut butter for $3.29, following Smuckers raising the big bubble at the base to hollow their jar out.  7oz tuna has become 6oz tuna which has become 5oz tuna which is now 4oz tuna which contains 35%-48% water and sloshes.  Canned vegetables contain up to 48% water and slosh now.

So you look at a magazine and go, "It costs 3 times as much!  WTF?!  Nothing else has tripled in price!"  Well inflation is like 800% over the past 25 years, buddy.

Article is messed up. First they say horrific sexual context involved in these videos, then they say a naturist videos were created, which is not porn. I am confused,if you are to film a birth of your child, is that is an automatic felony?
