I find it oddly discomforting that the guys who sat around the computer trolling sex chat rooms (because trolls is what they are) are hailed as geniuses.

Certainly I'm not saying that the guy wasn't at fault, you need to practice 'caveat emptor' with anything on the internet. But these three guys had to sit around for how long impersonating a girl before this happened, and he is the one considered a loser?

It always seems that pranks like this or those hidden camera TV shows (MTV's boiling point is the lowest denominator) are amusing for people watching but really mean to the people conned when you stop to think about it. I guess we laugh at others because we perceive them to be more gullible or stupid than we are, until we are on the receiving end of a prank.

I wonder how much class these people would react with if they were made the butt of a prank for everyone to point and laugh at.
