Really? Fat Jokes? Glad we're taking this whole President of the United States thing seriously. It would be pretty messed up if we approached the whole thing like children.

You gotta be kidding me.  This is what passes for political discourse, USA?

2013-11-13 11:56:13 AM
But comments about her appearance were sexist.

2013-11-13 11:57:11 AM
Great.  Now Sarah Farking Palin is making me come to Chris Christie's defense.

DO YOU KNOW HOW THAT FARKING MAKES ME FEEL?!?!

2013-11-13 12:07:55 PM
This svelte, rugged conservative sylph has Chris Christie's engorged physiognomy quaking in its diabetic socks.

Say what you will about Chris Christie but at least he's no Sarah Palin.

Only to the most insipid of troglodytes.

It's mindblowing to me that people still give a shiat what she says. I could be mis-remembering, but most of the criticism of Palin wasn't about her appearance, it was because of her perceived lack of intelligence.  And that wasn't because of her gender, it was because she said really stupid shiat.

Beyond that, there's a line of logic that doesn't always pan out.  Does being fat work against Chris Christie?  To some degree, probably.  Will it actually prevent a significant number of people from voting for him?  I doubt it.  It certainly didn't in NJ.

2013-11-13 12:23:46 PM
The more of the idiots that are attacking Christie, the better he looks as a candidate.

I know they are too stupid to try the reverse psychology card.

2013-11-13 12:29:13 PM
Sarah Palin is an idiot, but arguing that Chris Christie's weight won't be a factor is like saying that no one noticed that Barack Obama was black.

2013-11-13 12:38:13 PM
So what you're saying is that the red states--most obese states in the country--are going to ostracize and vote against a candidate because of his weight?

2013-11-13 12:39:45 PM
I think we can agree that the Fark community are generally immature and irreverent and raising the issue of Christie's weight is something that does not appear to come up in too many threads anymore.  Or at least, much less frequently than it did before.

Yeah, by criticizing a Republican, Palin has proved that she is just another RINO.

In fairness, conservative and religious scientists estimate that our current "conservative Republicans" are only one hundredth as conservative as necessary to achieve true enlightenment.  Criticizing Republicans for being too conservative--no matter how "conservative" they may be--is the only way for Republicans to make progress.  For that, I commend Sarah.  She's a regular Jane six-pack.  Wow.  Her feet smell so good.

The American Heart Association, and the American Diabetes Association.

What's next for this harpy?  Criticizing the Pope for being too liberal??

oh, wait...

Christie will laugh it off. Fat people tend to be quite jolly.

Well, yes, but not as it pertains to his eligibility to hold office.

Like running candidates who don't believe in evolution?
Like running candidates who are doing it to sell books to launder PAC money into their own bank account?
Like running candidates who literally can't string together a sentence?

That sort of approaching it like children?

Well, like most Republicans, appearance is the most important thing for her, not issues or facts.

except Christie could do a six month Atkins-type diet and emerge 100lbs lighter almost effortlessly, Obama didn;t really have that option

Well, she is right about that. There's fat and then there's really farking fat.

Palin seemed to magically lose the baby weight that she never really gained in the first place when she had Trig.

Magorn: 100lbs lighter almost effortlessly,

Have you ever tried to lose 100 lbs?

2013-11-13 01:22:35 PM
I really do hope that people will fast wake up and see Christie is NOT the "moderate" that the mass media pushers are trying to portray him to be. He's every much as vile and as cruel as any other republican today. He only gets a pass because of his photo op with Obama (most likely his shrewd plan to monkeywrench Romney so that Christie can make a run for POTUS in 2016) and that he doesn't make bonehead rapey comments.

Just do a You Tube search of all the people he's screamed at and tried to bully simply for not having the same opinion he has. The guy is a big fat thug.

Let me guess : she's running for attention whore again.

France is where young men protest gay marriage by taking off their shirts and go sailing with each other.

Much like Sarah's intellect.

It's not magic when you are pretending to cover up for your slutty daughter.

So smitty posts an article on a discussion board about Christie's weight and labels Palin a "dumbass" for saying Christie's weight is something people talk about.  Has the dumbass tag become reflexive?

/And I don't mean being done unconsciously

nmrsnr: FloydA: The American Heart Association, and the American Diabetes Association.

Well, yes, but not as it pertains to his eligibility to hold office.

It's not about eligibility, it's about ability.  Questioning the health of a POTUS candidate is absolutely on the table.  That's the difference that Palin was too stupid to point out.  Saying Christie is fat is a relevant health question.  Saying Hillary wears stupid clothes has nothing to do with anything related to eligibility or ability.

All it takes is a brain, Sarah:

'That's because it's been extreme. OK? So it's hard to - it's hard for some people not to comment on it. It doesn't mean that you should, but some people are going to see it as an easy target and go for the low-hanging fruit. Personally, I don't let someone's weight affect how I feel about their ability to lead.'

There, she could have segued straight into how disqualified Christie was, and why, and the quote wouldn't have come back to bite her in the ass, except if it had been taken out of contesxt.

Of course, Palin not only isn't this smart, she also has no actual skill in political discourse, nor does she have a filter.

Thank God, or we'd be stuck with her.

CheetahOlivetti: Magorn: 100lbs lighter almost effortlessly,

I did

Its easy enough if you want to do it

And I wasn't even running for president

2013-11-13 01:28:43 PM
Palin says it's hard to look at Christie and not comment on his weight.

Meanwhile, it's hard to listen to Palin and not comment on how pants-on-head she is.
