Don't play coy. This is exactly the slippery slope the conservatives warned us about.

Also, you can marry anything you want, you just can't get a license to prove it. Meanwhile, two consenting adults are vastly different than any bullshiat I have ever heard from opponents of gay marriage.

Actually gay marriage is illegal in Florida.  Although there is one county that will recognize and perform gay marriages, though these are not legally binding in the rest of the state.

If I had to venture a guess, I would say Monroe County.  Is that it?

I don't think I'd want to be married to someone/thing that for a small fee would give anyone a ride.

2013-11-13 02:52:12 PM
SEE?! Allowing gay marriage has lead to this! What's next? Marriage to a roller coaster? Tilt-a-whirl?!?! Isn't it in Corinthians where there is a very clear statement that humans and amusement park rides should NOT marry?! "And Lo, the Lord spake, and didst say 'Thou shalt not engage in marriage between man and amusement park rides, lest I become cranky."

/I could be mistaken

If she married a ferris wheel. . .does that mean I can also marry a corporation?  Since corporations are 'people', I should be entitled to 50% ownership when I divorce.

Back in the early days of the internet, a Swedish woman named Eklöf Berliner-Mauer had a website that was a minor sensation. She claimed, with all apparent sincerity, that she was married to the Berlin Wall for 20 years.

Her site is long gone now, but some of the good bits from it are quoted here: "I find long, slim things with horizontal lines very sexy. The Great Wall of China's attractive, but he's too thick - my husband is sexier."

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who renewed her vows with Ferris last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

Personally, I don't see the attraction.

It's the Gravitron that always gave me a hard-on.

How does the ferris wheel say the vows? If it only took one party to agree to marriage a lot of Farkers would have married Jessica Alba/Christina Hendricks/Scarlett Johansson or whoever, a long time ago, but generally you need the other party to agree.

Heck, was the ferris wheel even old enough to consent?
