I love Sriracha as much as the next thirty-something nerd, but Sriracha+bacon sounds disgusting.

<csb>

This sounds similar to the chili that I made last night.  I brought the whole damn pot of chili to work today because my wife said it was way to spicy.  I only put one 6 oz can of pickled jalepenos in there with a tbsp of siracha, some chili powder and a little pinch of cayenne pepper... and some bacon crumbles for flavor...

so yeah, I made chili with bacon and siracha in it

Maybe if they threw in some eggs to the mix.

Sriracha  + Eggs = Heaven
Eggs + Bacon = Bliss
Sriracha + Eggs + Bacon = Heavenly Bliss

Because both of these foods haven't been beaten into our brains enough and someone was smart enough to take advantage of all the self proclaimed "foodies" to cash in on their fads by combining two into one.

If you wanna be my lolli, you gotta get with my friends
Bacon lasts forever, sriracha never ends
If you wanna be my lolli, you have got to mix
Bacon is real tasty, but sriracha is the twist...

That was absolutely perfect, without actually being any good.  ;-)

Real true question, Farkians. Does HuffPost take longer to load on your iPad than any other site? I'm seriously asking seriously.

Did I actually make it into the thread before someone informed us how 'over' siracha or bacon they are?

It looks like you might actually have.  That Weeners is dangerously close, but not really there.

And yeah.  I'm not over either one, and I've been eating bacon for probably 40 years now, and sriracha for 20.  I don't understand the concept of being over good things.

I shook the Magic Fark Thread 8 Ball and the answer appears to be NO.

Thanks, I guess.  So I'm good at making perfectly bad stuff.  Now THAT, I can put on my resume as a real accomplishment.

The bacon fetishizing is getting old. Can we fetishize something else?

I read that as Sacha Baron lollipop and couldn't imagine why such a thing would be "fark yeah".

My wife has been working on a sriracha fudge recipe, for some spice loving friends of ours. I can't really try it -I'm a total wimp when it comes to the spicy stuff- but they like the current iteration.

Not sure how bacon fudge would work, though.

This.

Not everything needs hot sauce on it.

Why isn't bacon all by itself good enough? Just drink the sauce straight out of the bottle and leave the bacon alone for those of us who really appreciate it.

Sriracha is the new hipster "gotta have it" food item that all the internet dummies are flocking to. They've even gotten fast food places to start using it. It's wildly overrated.

Wildly overrated?  I don't think so.. but it does seem be turning into a bit of a hipster thing...

/was into it long before it was... um... hot?

I dunno. I dated a Brit for a while, and when she made bacon sarnies, she also spread a little sambal oolek on the bread. Pretty tasty, actually.

You food fad people need to just back the fark off at this point. Yes, we've all had a good laugh over the bacon obsession, but let's drop this thing with Sriracha. There are a lot of us who have been appreciating Sriracha for years, because it's always been different than other hot sauces. Most hot sauces are basically infused vinegars. Tabasco is a perfect example. Sriracha is mostly chile pepper though, and that gives it a different color, taste and texture than 99% of the hot sauces out there and it lends itself more readily to working itself into recipes then just thrown carelessly on something as an afterthought, and it is not some stupid gimmick food. So, just go find something else to obsess over.

Sriracha? No thanks, I don't like ketchup.
