I said there was no way this country would elect a black man with the middle name "Hussein".

So I'll say right now there is no way this country will elect Elizabeth Warren.

You will all be disappointed with President Warren. First, the realities of the office will bear down upon her, causing her to abandon many of her promises for the same reasons that Obama abandoned his: complete information will cause a reevaluation of the assumed remedy. Second, and this is going to be true until at least 2022, the House will be run by the GOP. If Obama is a Socialist, Warren makes Eugene Debs look like the CEO of Blue Sun, and the GOP will send their derp machines back for servicing to add another couple of numbers so they can turn it up to 13.

I'm looking forward to having the first female president and the first president from the state of Oklahoma in 2017.

Nah, I'd put her as VP.  she can attack dog all she wants while the top of the ticket plays the triangulation game.

Or, leave her on the Banking Panel, then stack the remaining spots in your favor and throw Wall St under the bus.

It wouldn't surprise me if he didn't make that joke about Hillary sometime in 2007 as the run-up to the primaries heated up.

If Hillary wants to run, the seat's basically hers to lose. It'd be better for Warren to take a VP spot as progressive catnip for the base, get some experience under her belt, and portray herself to the country as something other than screeching Wall Street harpy soundbites. I like Warren, but she needs to work on her delivery.

There's nothing legally preventing it, from what I know.

Right - the 22nd Amendment puts a term limit on the Presidency.  The 12th says anyone who isn't eligible to to be President can't be VP Either (so, Obama couldn't be VP, for example).  But there's nothing in there about the VP having a term limit as VP.

If, for whatever reason, Hillary doesn't run in 2016, Warren might have a good shot in the primaries.  If Hillary does run, I can't imagine Warren challenging her.

I also don't see Warren taking a VP spot.  If she is single-minded in focusing on Wall Street, I don't know how being VP helps her cause as much as staying in the Senate does.

The election will be between Chris Christie and Hillary Clinton. Christie will win because he will draw both Democratic and Republican voters. Book it. Done.

I suspect Hillary is not in the driver's seat for 2016. She's not going to risk another bitter, hard-fought battle against a populist candidate. So if Warren wants in, I bet Hillary doesn't run.

Much better as a female candidate than Hillary.  As a candidate irrespective of gender, she's incredibly awesome: concerned with how economic policies play out in the lives of citizens.  Republicans would view a Warren candidacy as a direct spite to them.

Depends on how black the (D) candidate is. It's pretty obvious they'll run anyone and stand behind literally any candidate no matter how uncharismatic and unlikable they are.

The thing they fear isn't that she'll try to tax them. They fear her pushing for a new Glass-Steagal, and winning.

Depends on how you define "pinnacle."  If a Republican wins in 2016, I don't think it's impossible that Christie would be offered a cabinet position.  Maybe Attorney General or something.

She's too old to run. She'd be 66 or 67 by the time she'd assumed office. Don't get me wrong - I'd vote for her and I think she'd be a good president, but I'd like to see someone younger. Once you're pushing 70, your health can go south very quickly regardless of how well you take care of yourself...

The bully pulpit has some real power, and her successful election would likely be seen by many on the left as a mandate to reform the banks.

All of the female Democratic senators signed a secret letter to Hillary Rodham Clinton early this year encouraging her to run for president in 2016 - a letter that includes the signature of Sen. Elizabeth Warren and other senators who are mentioned as potential candidates, two high-ranking Democratic Senate aides told ABC News.

It's a factor for sure, and one that also works against Hillary, but it does depend.  There have been cases of Alzheimer's in people in their 30s, and 100 year olds who are still sharp as a tack.  Depends heavily on the particular person in question.
