The man is not guilty. His lawyer should plead insanity due to viral behavior modification. Viruses are known to hi-jack the behavioral patterns of hosts in order to foster transmission to other organisms. Since HIV has a rather limited vector, having unprotected sex to spread it seems like the logical course of action for he virus.

So we should sever both heads from the body to ensure the virus stops spreading?

I wonder if any HIV+ people are able to find partners who will have protected sex with them. It's got to be scary worrying about that condom. But then, if for any reason I could never have sex again with anyone, I'd probably just put the period on my life at that point.

Just do what I do - disclose your status before any hanky-panky and bag it up. Alternatively use PrEP and have an undetectable viral load to be "sexually non-infectious"/perinatal infected 1983/handful of sexual partners, always carefully, never transmitted./Hard to cure easy to prevent

Bag it up.  Can't be said enough, apparently.

Isn't it quite difficult to catch the North American (versus African) strain of HIV through heterosexual intercourse, even if it's unprotected?  If you throw in using condoms and have sex when the HIV is not in the highly contagious stage, the chance of contracting HIV goes down to virtually nil, right?  If so, I don't think that would be a dealbreaker for starting a long-term relationship with someone with HIV if you were really in love with that person.  The question of how s/he contracted the HIV might come up, though.

Sorry, I meant to reply to "The_EliteOne" and I farked up.  That said, LordBeavis I would think it doesn't matter if it's 'North American' or 'African HIV' either of them will do a dandy job of killing you/your partner.

People who infect others with STDs should get some serious punishment.  Also, don't be stupid and believe what any horny person says -- wear a condom!

Yes, they do.  Sometimes other HIV+ people, sometimes people without HIV that just happened to fall in love.

Honestly, it really depends on what you're doing and your overall health.

If you are the one on the receiving end of vaginal or anal sex, man or woman, you're at quite a high risk.  If you have herpes sores on your penis, you are at quite a high risk.  Oral sex is quite a low risk.  There's a theoretical risk (particularly if you have herpes sores or gingivitis) but there aren't any cases where it's been proven to transmit.

The best part is that this picture is the mugshot from a meth arrest, depicting her wounds from a previous incident in which a meth lab exploded several years earlier.

Terrible drug.

Advancements in HIV/AIDS treatment and medications have actually led to the disease now being "serious but mostly manageable chronic medical condition" rather than "guaranteed death sentence."  So long as you actually get treatment, of course.

That, though I prefer to see him suffer more slowly than that. I could definitely get behind sterilizing people who intentionally spread STD's.
