This would be better if you made the headline have a rhyme to go with "peanut"

It's Disney.  They'll make it cutesy and commercialized.  And I won't stand for it.

Disney's way is not very sportsmanlike.

One of the things I loved most about the movie was Mark Knopfler's recurring theme. That will not translate well to stage. Instead we get generic score? No thank you.

Great. So now live audiences will have the chance to stand and cheer when that little Spanish brat exacts his revenge on me. Just wonderful. BRB, I need to call my agent.

It's not like they've stopped doing it when it's played in theaters. Why would a live action version be any different?

I could see him doing it for a few weeks.  But he's probably busy with Chekov, Mamet, O'Neill, or Shakespeare.

According to IMDB, he's been working pretty constantly since 1979. Inconceivable.

Why do you think the score will be "generic"?

Adam Guettel was the composer (until he and Goldman could not make a deal. Which makes this article pretty short on facts)

What do you find generic about his work? If anything he is way too "out there" for his own chosen industry.

Floyd Collins is one of my favorite scores.  But a four hour production with the lead stuck under a rock the entire time and a score of nothing but American roots and Appalachian folk music was a tough sell to the punters. Most people were just too dim to understand any of it.

What did you not not like about it?

Perhaps he could be Miracle Max?

Although, Billy Crystal is still going strong....

/easier make-up this time around....
