GCHQ's primary function is industrial espionage, not fighting terrorism. They feed information from competitors to BAE Systems.

FTFY, the NSA's main reason for existing is foreign intelligence.  They were FOUNDED to spy on other countries.  The domestic spying is both overstepping their original mandate AND a Constitutional issue.

No it's not. The primary role is SIGINT for the UK.

Industrial espionage is just a side line. Just like the NSA does for Boeing, Northrop, Lockhead, BAe Systems etc..

CIA does the human operations.  NSA is signals intelligence.  CIA = cloak and dagger, NSA = hackers.

Other nations acting like it's SHOCKING that we were spying on them? People complaining "OMG WE'RE SPYING ON OUR ALLIES?S?!" (when talking about how Snowden also had things like lists of agents from other countries). .... Really?

You didn't see *any* of that?

Yes I did. And that has cost USA dearly in reputation with their allies.

That's however not what you wrote. Countries spy on other countries, your allies do not spy on you.

What do you mean? My countries allies doesn't spy on us, except USA. We know that now. That's why we're outraged.

AFAIK USA's allies doesn't spy on USA either. And no, USA doesn't consider Israel, Saudi Arabia or Pakistan as allies.

And also, piss ants like you. You live in a country were you have no influence on your leadership or the public discourse. If it makes you feel better to bluster here, know that I can see right through you.

You're naive if you don't think every country is spying on every other country - ally or not.

Allegiances change. When they do, you can't be left in the dark.

Yup. The way the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact turned out pretty much cemented the need for this, especially in Europe.

No I'm not, but you're a tool for going along with the talking points like a little good boy.

Yeah, the only allegiance that changed was that between Western Europe and USA. As if we needed more proof that USA is still a backwards colony.
