They're not suicide nets, they're employee trampolines! Apple wants  fun sweatshops.

Profits go down, stock price goes down. Makes too much sense for some people.

Not to mention the Lemonade Stand quality of its updated mobile OS

Since no one cares how warm and cuddly Samsung is, they probably don't even bother with the nets at their factories.

Bunch of thieves. What else are they gonna claim to invent? I bet they talk to shareholders as if they're the first company to ever turn a profit. They say imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, but I think it's just despicable.

It's telling when even some of your strongest journalist fanboys start to question your empty announcements:

"Why does Tim Cook keep talking about new Apple products?"

I really don't get the hype. Apple products are cool, but they're not any more or less functional than most other stuff on the market.

I prefer to use a PC for most things because it's an interface I'm familiar with. I've used iPads at work for various things and it took me a while to get the feel for it, but I generally can make it do what I want.

Is it all really just great marketing? (Their commercials are pretty cool, I admit)

So the whole zen-hipster thing is only for show and they don't run their whole business model like that? Who would have thunk it?

It's technology as conspicuous consumption, combined with the fact that, for people who don't know what they're doing, Macs are friendlier and easier.

Heckle and Heckle sure did love them some corn. Or was that the crows from Dumbo?

No matter. I love it when something explodes in the farmer's face.

I thought Mr. Hyde was the scary one?  In what way is Apple stock price scary?  It was like $30 a decade ago.  That's a helluva increase, no?  If you only get on the fan-wagon when it's peaking at almost $800 then that's kind of your problem for being an idiot and not buying in earlier.  The fact that it went back down is normal and to be expected - still $500-$600 range is far from bad when you invest as you're supposed to - in something you know and believe in and hold for a long time.

Anyone in a large cap index has plenty of aapl already. If you tHink they will out perform the index you buy more. If you don't think they will, you don't buy more. Of late they have not. Their profit percentage growth has been shrinking for about a thousand days now and there are much easier plays out there. If it was $350 I'd buy more. It ain't so I won't.
