Is their disability being beautiful lesbians who like tickle fights and lingerie? If so then that's not dust Subby.

I've never met my online best friend of... Christ, it's been six years now. We bonded initially because we both had panic attacks.

/think he's coming to visit over winter break this year

Tony_Pepperoni: So a Skype commercial makes you dusty eyed?

Yes, the fact that Skype took advantage of this situation for commercial purposes completely removes any emotional content. Or, it could be your an on-line troll lacking any human empathy. Hmmm I think I'll go with the later,

I'm pretty sure you're late with this invocation by at least a few decades.

Commercial or not, if you can't feel anything watching those two friends frantically dash towards each other as they meet, then I feel bad for you.

Wow that video plays like a Skype commercial for a bit. a lot of it. oh look, I watched a Skype commercial.

My friend's GF had CF, and she had a lot of friends online dealing with it too (she got a Make a Wish wish to get a computer before she got a double lung transplant).  When she passed on reading notes from her online friends was freaking heartbreaking.

But that said, nice to remember the internet can be a positive thing, *especially* for people dealing with rare illnesses.

Really good story about that (a really rare disease that basically ends up giving you a second skeleton, and the internet and some determined folks plus one awesome doctor/researcher)

/my friend mainly used LiveJournal
//they did not make a commercial about it

Look, if you're going to pimp out a touching, true story for an advertisement, DO IT RIGHT.

The white chick was a minor player and over 18. Don't waste American media's time.

It was a disarmingly touching video, but I think it was pretty underhanded of Skype to exploit it and turn it into a commercial.

That's what did it for me. As soon as I saw "Skype", It pissed me off, the video lost all meaning and turned it FAKE.

Aww, they're both 'armless.

im sure it ends well, but it was about two pretty girls who both happened to lack an arm.  that's not so heartbreaking a disability to me.  a and now from the comments i see its a commercial for skype.  glad i saved the time so i could snark in here.  this video never would have gotten play if it have been two fat ugly kids.  i'll tug my heartstrings (which are perfectly functional, btw) elsewhere.

As penance I want you to hang your head in shame and give me ten sincere chants of "advertising is information" followed by five "profits before people and planet" before pledging your life to being a good consumer and loyal member of your assigned marketing demographic.

With the strength they have in their developed, good arms, they could, "with their powers combined" give you the best hand job of all time. Once they're of age of course!

God damnit. I thought I was immune. Until they ran into each other's arms crying. That was sweet, commercialization aside.

You know, all the guys making a big deal about it being an ad, it's like where do you think the money for the plane tickets came from?  Sure Skype wasn't being completely altruistic, but if you're going to spend money on ads anyway why not kill two birds with one stone and actually do something nice for someone in the process?  Personally I liked this.

You would think if they were best friends, they wouldn't use the 'one arm hug'. I thought that was just for guys hugging guys.
