Their trucks are the only thing they make that doesn't suck.

FTFY. Their gasoline-powered trucks also suck.

Well, the good news for Chrysler is that a lot of them probably aren't running anymore, so it won't be a complete loss.

Someone doesn't know who owns Dodge...

The older Cummins diesels are, in fact, quite good. The newer models are saddled with the 6.7 Cummins that requires diesel fluid and that usually gets disconnected as soon as the owner figures out how to do it.

Ok, I was wrong the first time - this is a marquee:

Why bother disconnecting the DEF after treatment?  It doesn't affect engine performance at all.  And, if you can afford a $50,000 truck, you can afford a $20 bottle of DEF every 5,000 miles...

I agree and slightly disagree at the same time.  The diesels are good, however too many people will still drive a gasoline Dodge over a Chevy.  My neighbor works for one of parts plants supplying the big three.  He gets discounts on all big three products, as so does his coworkers.  His whole plant drives Dodge gas powered half tons.  I asked him about my Ford, he said about time.

/I wouldn't mind getting a Dodge, but right now I need a SUV

Diesel exhaust fluid is the worst thing ever.  our ford work truck has constant def problems... as does most others in the fleet.

Yep. The old Ford 7.3 diesel is bulletproof, pretty much. The new 6.0 is awful.
