I hate to bug you in the middle of dinner
It was a slap in the face how quickly I was replaced
Are you thinking of me when you f**k her?

Actually, no.

Finally, best use of the ironic tag I've ever seen. It's so meta, it's going to become self-aware and collapse our universe.

2013-11-08 08:18:25 PM
I wonder if it will rain on their opening day.

2013-11-08 08:33:17 PM
Looking forward to the theater scene.

2013-11-08 08:33:18 PM
And yet I'll bet they kick out anyone who goes down on their date in the theater.

Oh please get Dave Coulier to play the male lead.

He can do the Bullwinkle voice when she goes down on him in the theater.

It should include a reference to the time she blew half the starting d-line for the Glebe high school football team while they were playing poker.

Former co-worker of mine was at the party, saw her go under the table.

So we get a ScarJo thread right before an Alanis one. Need a Ryan Reynolds thread next to complete the threesome.

Jagged is one of the best albums of the 90's but don't think it's good enough for a play. Good for her if it makes money, though.

FTFY.

I mean, I can tell you you about the time I saw Glenn Beck rape and murder a young girl. It was back in 1990....

Hey boy you wanted all or nothin'
Lose the apprehension baby
And go with the flow cause you know you've got
Stand up if you want the answers
You need to blast 'em straight up baby
So say what you mean and you mean to say now

Except I knew other people who went to Glebe with her who pretty much all agreed she was a slut.

It's worse than it sounds. Glebe ran a nine man front back then, and the kicker took her for a rouge.

Excellent, excellent use of the Ironic tag, subby.

Hey, if they can do it with Green Day's American Idiot, why not Jagged Pill. Alot of strong songs there. I think it's a good idea.

I wonder if I'll learn anything from it.

2013-11-08 11:18:25 PM
My theory is that she truly thought everything in the song Ironic was ironic and that she later made the saving throw of pretending it was all on purpose for the meta irony and thereby avoid further humiliation.

You know, I really thought Liz Phair or Juliana Hatfield were going to be the big breakout star from the early 90s alternative into the big time.

but no, it was some chick from you can't do that on telelvision that wasn't moose

weird world

I still wish PJ harvey would kick her ass for some reason

Play idea is brave, but chicken shiat...

Dave Coulier probably needs the work more than Alanis...

The singer is currently developing the album for the stage, with a workshop version of the musical set to debut in New York next year.

Workshops don't "debut".

This "article" is just a deceivingly worded press release about a non-event.

Dave Coulier did admit one time that parts of the song sound like him but that part wasn't, suggesting that the song wasn't about anyone specific but rather an amalgamation of all of Alanis' failed relationships, like Carly Simon's You're So Vain (although she later spilled the beans that it was about David Geffen, it works much better in a generalized context)

There are lpenty of people that have kids and don't go to hell. It's an excuse more than a reality.

You sure? This thing was unstoppable. This was the soundtrack to my '95. And my '96.

I was unclear. The workshop itself is a non-event. As in it is all a part of the process of making a show and not something usually announced outside the trade theater papers.

I did not mean to imply the musical itself was a non event. I would never do that. It actually sounds sort of awesome.
