Well, it IS the Mayo Clinic.  At the very least they should have sent him to the Mustard Clinic.

2013-11-08 11:38:54 AM
Couldn't they just drill a few holes in a box and ship him freight?

Like the French are going to accept a 500 pound citizen... He is where he belongs now, welcome to America.

Or an oil and vinegar based condiment.  Italian?

I blame Western medicine.  You know how they discourage alternative condiments.

I'm confused, why is British Airways the only airline choice?  Also why if the French government is offering to help them sue British Airways, why don't they get Air France to take the kid home?

He took an airplane to get to the Mayo Clinic to lose weight and address his hormone problem but now is too fat to fly home? What did he go to the clinic for?

This was my question.  Did the Mayo actually do anything?  Or is his fat caused by something other than simply hormones?

"their only option is to take a train to New York and cross the Atlantic on the Queen Mary cruise ship"

That kid will be 1000 lbs by the time they reach Europe!

He should take a Carnival Cruise, one bout of Norovirus and he will be thin enough to fly.

Well, my suggestion has already been offered upthread, the only other thing I can think of is to strap a strobe light on his head, push him off a pier in Virginia and hope the currents do their job.

Even if they addressed the hormone issue, he's not going to drop to a svelte 160 lbs. overnight.

He came to the US to... lose weight?

Well, I think I see the first problem.

How is he too fat to fly?  I thought they just made you buy too tickets if you were sufficiently plump?

Does the Mayo have a Mcdonalds? One of the leading heart hospitals in the Midwest (located in Mpls) has a Mcdonalds.

Airlines and movie theaters should really put up a weight restriction policy in a very public way stating that their chairs can only handle people up to *** pounds, and that if you still buy a ticket knowing that you are over the limit you should not get a refund.

Now since this airline was not that up front about the issue they should pay for all the travel expenses necessary to get this fat pig back to France.

My question as well.  Either the treatment was unsuccessful, or he needs to stay longer.

The real news here is how a "hormone condition" can defy the laws of thermodynamics and create matter out of nothing.
