Wouldn't you know it, so did I.  I tried to use it, which I'm pretty sure constitutes a DDoS.

2013-11-07 02:34:15 PM
Can't you interrupt it with a computer that isn't even connected to the internet?

2013-11-07 02:53:26 PM
So they are trying to cause problems....why? To point out flaws in the site? No shiat Sherlock, it's only been in the news nonstop for the last month. To sabotage the site and prevent people from benefitting it? GTFO and GBTW you assholes.

2013-11-07 03:03:19 PM

Called what?

Only if you tried to use it from multiple computers at the same time.  Otherwise, just a DOS.

Fark traffic causes far more damage than these so called "attacks"

"So, how many copies of this script did you run?"

"Seven."

"Yeah, that oughta do it."

The attacker is most likely a supporter of FOSS

For some strange reason FOSS can attract the most extreme of the political lines

Thanks for giving the gum'mint an out on this.

Apparently stress testing was not in the budget.

I think most of you are missing the point.

That point, of course, is what a magnificent headline we have here.

I'd put $$$ on Republican operatives being paid to hack, disable, ddos or whatever they can do to crater the obamacare site.

cirby: "So, how many copies of this script did you run?"

Considering that the site only managed to process 6 registrations on its first day, that probably would be enough copies.

I don't think they needed to. The site did it pretty well on its own.

OH BUT IT'S GOTTA BE A CONSPIRACY THAT THE RETHUGLICANS DID IT BECAUSE THATS THE ONLY EXPLANATION!

USG really likes it when you hack into their networks.  They really, really like it, and will throw you a party at your house for it.

I'm not saying that this event was caused by them or that they had anything to do with it.  What I am saying is that I think that the odds are good enough to where I'd put money on a bet that somewhere in the dark recesses of the Republican party they have some turd burglar like James O'Quife trying to attack the system some how.  Do I have any knowledge of such a conspiracy, no, would I put it past them, hell no.

But Marc Eisenbarth, a research manager for Arbor Security Engineering and Response Team, pointed toward political motivations behind this attack, which is gaining awareness via social media.

Of course he did. And provided tons of evidence to support these claims too....oh, wait, no he didn't? This is my SHOCKED FACE.

In the 2014 election, this will be all they have to run on. It failed because George Bush and his anon b/tard friends killed it with a LOIC.

2013-11-07 04:24:56 PM
I'd be more impressed if hackers fixed the site.

You know what they say about fools and their money soon parting ways.  In some cases, I wonder how the two ever found each other to begin with.

Nice burn!  I wish I were cool like you.  Do you have some sort of manual or news letter?

I don't know how you can still trust those lunatic SOBs, you can call me a fool all you want, but I think your political affiliation says that and more about you.

Part of me would find it absolutely hilarious to watch the conservative fallout if it were discovered that hackers were the sole reason that the healthcare.gov site was pretty much DOA... I wager about 30% of them would claim it's a false flag op, 59% claim it's due to "0bummer not updating antivirus" or similar, and the remaining 11% retaining the racist reasons that it sucked.

The truly best part is that this balloon was launched months before the damned thing ever became law because they knew what a gigantic boondoggle it was going to be.

George Bush and Dick Cheney's Weather Machine Stormtroopers nuked Odumbocare before it ever got to Earf! STUDY IT OUT!

"We have the right to civil disobedience!"

I don't think you do.  Committing a crime is not an enumerated right.

I could create an account easily enough.   I had to lie and say I was from a derp state, because where I live implemented their own exchange at it works perfectly, though.

When I did look for insurance, it told me it was broken.

Just curious.... exactly how is the ACA an affront to the constitutional rights of the people?

Were they hackers from Ahmedenijad's elite Iranian hacker army?
That was my first guess based upon Iran's fighter jet engineering prowess and their Photoshop skills.
