I've been getting farked left and right in FF this year. Just this past week, I started Arian Foster because they said he'd start. I wish he lasted more than 5 snaps. Then, after miraculously being up by 20 points (my opp. started Ray Race in fact) with Green Bay's Boykin left, I thought my victory was secure. But suddenly, Seneca Wallace. And my opponent had Matt Forte.

I mean, I'm a Bears fan and would 1000000 X rather the Bears beat the Pack than me win in fantasy football... but I really needed that win.

In week 5 my cousin traded Ray Rice for the Chiefs D/ST. We all laughed at him.

No one is laughing now.

Someone offered me Finley for Welker even though I had a crappy tight end. I declined and the week after was Finley's injury.

I can't comprehend the concept of two people in a sell Ray Rice at his lowest value in exchange for someone having a good season, as mentioned in the article -   Frank Gore, Mike James, Danny Woodhead, Eric Decker, DeMarco Murray, Jordan Reed, Josh Gordon, Alshon Jeffery and Keenan Allen

I guess some people just trade for the sake of trading.

This inspired me to offer Percy Harvin for Ray Rice a moment ago.

How is my fantasy year going? Let's look at my team and you be the judge:

QB: Aaron Rodgers
RB1: Steven Jackson
RB2: Eddie Lacy
WR1: Roddy White
WR2: Mike Williams
TE: Owen Daniels

Do I need to continue? My team is 1-7. Always next year.

well, he is 215 lbs and Kroger has dark meat listed at $1.29 a lb, so you should be able to get about $277 for him.

Or they're not in a keeper league, in which case trading Ray Rice for something like Keenan Allen + Jordan Cameron is akin to train robbery.

You don't get points for last year.

Yeah, I dropped Rice in one league recently. That said, I have Alfred Morris, Moreno, Ridley, and FJax at RB so Rice was just wasting a roster spot at this point.

I have 2 starters left from my original draft. Rodgers going down leaves me Eric Decker and Stephen Jackson (and Jackson was out). Worst injury year ever. I have guys on my team now that I hadn't even heard of prior to needing to fill injury spots.

Rg3 or foles? Rodgers was not even the strongest part of my team (kc defense) but I have to beat the toughest team this week.

Also pick 3: d Thomas, aj green, Pierre garçon, Keenan Allen.

I chose Allen over garçon and I still have Gordon on bye and harvin sitting, waiting, no longer ...pondering

Also spiller over L Bell for the first time

See, I was smart. I flexed Arian Foster. Just in case I didn't trust him to start, I had another player lined up to play.

I'm not, but I wouldn't have vetoed that trade. I only veto when it's obvious that there's someone trying to feed another team. If both teams are giving up some value for a pressing need, even if it seems lopsided, I'll go along with it. Veto is there to keep someone trading their backup kicker for 2 starting WRs and a top RB plus their best D/ST.

If your league has standards, your trade deadline is over.

2013-11-07 03:38:10 PM
I started the year with:

QB: Philip Rivers
RB: Trent Richardson
WR: Vincent Jackson
TE: Delanie Walker

After week 1 i was able to snag Julius Thomas and drop Walker

After week 4 I picked up Antonio Brown (vincent jackson was such a disappointment)

after week 8 i was able to pick up Eddie Lacy and finally get rid of richardson

So the only player i've kept from the draft was my QB who has surprised the crap out of me. I'm 6-3 in a 22 team league. it's been a pretty good year so far.

That, too. Especially in PPR league. Welker is typically one of the highest point total guys in the league. I pretty much laughed and counter offered my kicker for Finley.

it's a work league. no money involved, just for fun. it's not too bad really.

machoprogrammer:

Our commissioner set it up so each team only gets 1 of each position (qb, rb, wr, te, k, dl, lb, db) and 2 bench spots (1 offensive and 1 defensive). Given the restricted roster size, you can usually find someone good hanging around longer than they should.

Is this waiver wire, or a free agency free for all shiat show fest?  If the latter, then I like your work's style, and Tuesday morning everyone's probably in the office at 6 AM.

Full rosters or like, 1 at each spot? Because how do you even get 66+ RBs on teams.

If this league is on Yahoo or something I'd love to look around, if you're ok with sharing a link.

2013-11-07 05:26:54 PM
I started the 10-team league season with these people:

-Julio Jones
-Mike Williams
-Ahmad Bradshaw
-Rashard Mendenhall

All of them on IR and one a complete bust.  Somehow, I'm hanging on to 6-3.

Got lucky with getting Zac Stacy off the wire, and have Drew Brees and AP carrying the load.  Stupidly dropped Nick Foles a few hours before he had his monster 7 TDs games, and I'm not allowed to add him back until he clears waiver first.

Really don't like working the free agency just to stay alive, should've had this season in the bag.

2013-11-07 05:44:30 PM
i love fantasy football.  im 3-6 with the 3rd most points in the league and have the highest Points Against numbers.  2 of those wins are against some no-show douches who left bye guys starting.  but i did just win this week when my opponent had Rodgers go down in the 1st.  He only needed 30 points and also had Boykins.  its my only real "good" luck ive had all year.

2013-11-07 06:20:51 PM
My draft RBs of Spiller, Chris Johnson, and Eddie Lacy are finally paying dividends, and having Zac Stacy, whom I got because Spiller and Johnson were worthless, has been nice.

Now I have too many awesome RBs.

But I know if I trade one, then probably two of the guys I kept will get hurt and then I'll be doomed.

/got Stafford late because you can ALWAYS get Stafford late. He's like Romo (and Rivers) in that he's really good at FFB but no one thinks highly of him in real life.

2013-11-07 06:23:22 PM
Of course, prior to getting Stacy my team was 1-4 and I renamed them the Underachieving Fail.

Since naming them that, they're undefeated. Who says negativity can't motivate?

This is the truth.  10-team league, and my team auto-drafted Matt Ryan and Josh Freeman.  Rivers was in free agency.

/stupid auto-draft
//wife was having kid #2 in the hospital, and The League moments don't happen in real life.

Good: I have Peyton, Jimmy Graham and the Chiefs D.
Okay: I've got Folk, Torrey Smith and Alfred Morris.  Marvin Jones and Eddie Royal were late pickups who aren't that bad.  And Novak's my backup kicker.
Can't Fix It: I've got Sproles, Thomas and Em Sanders.  And I've literally had Sanders on the bench every time he does something good.  Oh, and I had Andy Dalton covering for Peyton last week.

I've ditched Jacoby Jones (mostly because my league stopped counting return yardage) and Miles Austin (the injured version of the Em Sanders problem).  And I started with Justin Tucker, but he literally cannot have two good weeks in a row.

2013-11-07 06:45:02 PM
I'm wondering if the Chiefs D isn't at the height of their value since after their bye week, the schedule does them no favors going down the stretch. I say this because I'm looking at trading for Giovanni Bernard (who has a keeper option), and using some combination of Chiefs D or DeMarco Murray (who do not have keeper ability), or both to try to pry him.

My back-up defense is the Bengals who have a more favorable schedule going forward than KC, but KC has been ballhawking like a MF and Cincy lost Atkins.

/I'm also in first place, and the guy offering Gio is in second, so I'm wary about weakening my team too much with this deal, especially if the final comes down to me and him

I'd be reluctant to get rid of that Chiefs D. They've won me like 3 weeks by making up for a dud or two.

The name of my team is "RiceRiceBaby", so I'm getting a kick....

This year I'm in first at 7-2. I had the second pick overall in the draft and got Adrian Peterson when the guy with the first pick chose a QB. That was a stunner. As much of a fan I am of Ray Rice, I'm glad he wasn't on my team this year.

While we're on the topic:
Riley Cooper or Golden Tate in my flex spot?

Its a passer's league.   ALL running backs suck.
