Guess what, Teddy?  He is still president of Texas, even though you hate it.

I will note that the headline is a bit misleading, but the butthurt is strong with this one even still.

"How dare the President talk about a program that has passed legal muster, passed the Senate and the House, and Judicial review. How dare he, sirrah, how dare he?"

Especially in a state that he got a third of the vote from, and represents even still in his office. He lost the state, and still is sort of obligated to do stuff for the state. A state, that oddly enough that used Federal stimulus funds to plug up its own deficits, all the while railing against them. A state that relies fair heavily on Federal support for a good number of issues, and still falls short in collecting the revenue to support its own programs. Even with austerity programs put into place, it is a state that is facing big issues, and uses those problems to address ideological concerns at a fair cost to their own taxpayers.

Don't forget the Republicans here threw hissy after initially being denied and then begged for that sweet, sweet federal money for West after the fertilizer plant blew up. Heaven forbid we spend a little of that state money we aren't spending on our schools

Pretty much.  I know someone who was biatching about people "worshiping" Obama.  And what qualified as worship wasn't even open support for Obama...It was simply disagreeing with some teabag craziness.  Then, a day later, this person posts a comment about having gone to the airport to greet Senator Cruz upon his return from Washington.  I can't even imagine how one's brain can be configured for that amount of stupidity and denial.

Given the lousy coverage stats in Texas, I could see why he wouldn't want the ACA promoted there.

How you gonna keep 'em down on the farm, Ted?

We did so much to resist implementation of this law and now it isn't even solving all the problems we caused. It just boggles the mind.

Isn't Texas pretty much the only red on the good side of 'federally taxed/spent'? I mean, I know they're morons who cut the budgets for things like firefighting and then beg the federal government to pay for firefighting emergencies, but I thought they still brought in money.

"n spite of all Texas has done to resist the biggest entitlement program of this generation, Obamacare is reducing health care options, increasing costs and hurting jobs,"

If Texas has experienced such consequences despite such resistance, then how poorly have states that embraced the law -- such as California, New York or Kentucky -- fared?

Cruz is an a$$hole troll but he still has a way to go to emulate the master

Bill Clinton "better watch out if he comes down here [to North Carolina]. He'd better have a bodyguard." -stated by Jesse Helms in regards to Clinton's supposive unpopularity with the North Carolina military. According to Helms (and refuted by military personnel), the military was likely to shoot Clinton if he came to North Carolina.

My insurance has not gone up in price for the last 4 yrs, the previous three years to that it went up every year (twice double digit % increases).-California

it is easier to accept foreigners when you do not have to pay for them; we should do what is right and allow them in, but i am not sure about gov't assistance. If we did not have to pay for a foreigner to live here (which does not apply in all cases), then acceptance would be more forthcoming, I think.

Are you perhaps asserting that conservatives are the true guardians of "freedom of thought, speech, and action"? Conservative policy and its advocates would disagree, but whatever helps you sleep.

To the quote, still not as bad ad holding the nation hostage over a law passed by the House, the Senate, and judicial review.

You are correct, they're the only Red state (apart from maybe Virginia? Which is kinda blue now anyway) that doesn't run a deficit with the Feds.

Jobs aren't created.  They come an intelligently designed plan.  And don't mention anything about economies evolving over time and the job market adapting in response to external stimuli.
