I would donate a thousand dollars to Obama's re-election campaign if he had actually said what's in the headline.

It's bad enough that here in Texas Republicans control everything, but it becomes even worse when you consider how many Texas congresspersons are either total, f*cking assholes (Cruz, Williams, Farrenthold) or stupider than a bag of dog crap (Gohmert, Sessions, Stockman, Barton, Hensarling).

Though to be fair, Sheila Jackson Lee isn't exactly a MENSA candidate herself.

I think in that Venn diagram of assholes and idiots, Gohmert sits right on the intersection.

There once was a Senator from Texas.
He had an ideology of telling you to to suck-its.
He shutdown the government.
and told everyone to farkoff.
then he lost his election and drowned his sorrows in Smirnoff.

Republicans have been blaming Obama for this and for that... using his name directly. Is there a reason Obama did not feel to call out Cruz directly, instead of giving hints of who he is referring too?

Perhaps Obama is trying to ensure Cruz gets the Republican nomination for Pres in 2016 - thus guaranteeing a Democratic victory.

better to call someone an idiot, not name names and still have the people know who you're talking about than directly calling cruz an idiot

Especially going with the vague statement of 'Those self destructive backwards petty idiots who gleefully shoot their own foot right off if it could stick it to the libs' pretty much only narrows it down to the entire GOP.

N0bummer probably can't remember Cruz's name, though it's also thought impossible for even one truly patriotic word to come out of a liberal's mouth.

Wrong definition of obtuse.  I was going with "annoyingly slow to understand", which you still are no matter how plainly you state your delusions.

I don't usually complain about Congresspeople because I already expect them to be stupid, for the usual reasons (primarily gerrymandering).  Also, Anthony Weiner used to be my rep, and he wasn't known for the best judgment.  Senators, though, have to win a statewide election, and for a state as big as Texas to elect two jackasses like that, that's kind of a shame.  Why can't they be reasonable like Tennessee, which despite its Republican domination has elected two fairly reasonable Senators in Lamar Alexander and Bob Corker?

Oh. Yeah, I guess I am. I don't understand why liberals that are now calling for delays or changes to Obamacare are not called idiots and terrorists who want to take down the government.
