EvilEgg: I bet if it was a cop's checks that were being forged the case would have moved a little faster.
poe_zlaw: I wonder if we will ever get a serious politician calling for police officer reform that would implement a system that would support officers who were whistleblowers, hold their officers accountable for their misdeeds, and kill the cops who need killin'.

TheLopper: I've been involved in two hit and runs, and every time I went in to report it (with the other car's info), the cops treated me like a criminal. They really hate filling out reports./csb
Rapmaster2000: I thought you said the law was powerless.Powerless to *help* you, not punish you.

netcentric: Rapmaster2000: I thought you said the law was powerless.Powerless to *help* you, not punish you.Just ask the guy in Deming (whatever State that is).... he got anal probed 8 times for clenching.
tripleseven: My GF and her friends credit card information was stolen from bed, bath, beyond (no idea if the info was stolen at the register end, or somewhere in transit) They both went there, paid on their CC and 3 days later, their accounts were cleared out( my GF's to the tune of $3500+)GF went to precinct to report it. They seemed like they were vaguely interested as it was grand theft, but nothing was done. Really, they cloned the cards, then went on a shopping spree. I guess it's too much work to you know, get the CCTV footage from the stores where they went shopping (All local stores, Victorias secret, bought an iphone at Verizon etc)Bed Bath and Beyond security dept took a much more proactive and interested stance.Still, they never caught anyone.\CSB
cirby: 300 murders per year is pretty average for Harris County, TX, AKA "Houston." Four million people in the county.
AgentPothead: Incredible. If you can't do your job in the real world you get fired. If you can't do your job as a police officer you get a week unpaid vacation.
Hot Carl To Go: If all the cc companies and banks made it tougher to get your money back there would be a lot more pressure on police to do something.
OnlyM3: But cops will ram their fingers up some random drivers ass if their pet dog barks.cops are useless. The only good one......
