Max Mosley is the son of Sir Oswald Mosley, the head of the British Union of Fascists and the Blackshirts (based on the Nazi Brownshirts) and Diana Guiness, née Mitford. His first wife was the daughter of Lord Curzon, "a most superior person" who was Vice-Roy of India.

In other words, THAT MOSLEY.

I recently added the Barons Stafford to my family tree, and already had the Curzons.

Thank God they are very distant cousins. I do like Nancy Mitford, the author and wit. She was the funny one. Her sister Jessica wrote The American Way of Death an exposé on the funeral business which inspired The Loved One, a comedy with Liberace based on a comic novel by Nancy's good friend, Evelyn Waugh. Another sister married a Communist, and Deborah became a Duchess of Devonshire, IIRC. The whole family was immensely eccentric, if not totally nuts.

I have quite the collection of political cousins, including Barrack H. Obama, Hillary Clinton, the Bushes, Lyndon H. Larouche, Jr., about 20 US Presidents, and Sir Oswald Mosley. I have more black sheep than a Merino shepperd.

Coo-coo! Coo-coo! Fortunantely eccentricity tends to pop up here and there rather than spreading, or the whole human race would be crazy all of the time.

Instead of 80%.

P.G. Woodhouse parodied the Blackshirts as the Blackshorts in The Code of the Woosters. That's why I bought the book. A joke that good is worth the price of the book. Woodhouse got into trouble because of the Nazis as well, but a lot of people think it was more political naiveté than politics. I think this joke is strong evidence he did not take Nazis seriously.

These photos don't even register on my "do not want" radar anymore.  They are kind of nasty to be sure, but I've seen significantly worse.  Furthermore, the internet is forever.

The best thing Mosely ever did was get parodied so extensively that fascism never took root in the UK.

If you have yet to discover the light comedies of PG Wodehouse, Reginald Spode is based on that bigot.

So I'm guessing the reason they where thinking nazi links is because his father was this fascist shiat stain: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oswald_Mosley
\ said asshole father got his ass beat by half the poor folks in london.
\\I recommend the Men They Could Not Hangs "Battle of Cable Street" for the full story set to music.

After reading TFA and seeing the photo, the French court has my blessing.
