It would have been better off growing some longer arms.

One of these days they are going to find the biggest dinosaur that ever lived
and along with it, the truth:

one incredibly big and badass dinosaur was responsible for the extinction of all the other dinosaurs

Maybe, but the upper limbs are still very short.

The "despair squid" of dinos? Nice.

An obvious mutation to keep up in the evolutionary battle against vaginas.

Me too. I think the added eyes fulfilled the sense of "that dino looks like a dork" I had when I first saw the picture.

An uncircumcised penis with teeth. Must be European.

I don't know either. I just found it when I GIS'ed "sexual tyrannosaurus" and thought it was funny/derpy enough to share.

Downside: it still can't reach them..

//or even a slightly elevated shelf, really..

It still seems like this and it's cousins would've all been water dwelling. I remember reading that they thought the Allosaurus was for some reason, so why not the others that are morphologically similar? Makes sense. Eyes and nose are at the top plane of their head and big tail good for swimming. No reason to keep those little arms for millions of years without a use. Seems they'd be handy if you were belly down at the bottom of a lake just crawling along, just like how other crocodilians do.

I suppose a reach around is out of the question.

You'd have a point except for the fact that theropods, unlike crocodilians have long hind legs that are horrible for swimming. They resemble paleognaths, which are not water dwellers.

Don't let facts get in the way. We had one guy come in the museum expounding that because the atmosphere was thicker and more humid int he Jurassic, that the dinos were buoyant and could swim through the air with their tails. Respiration... well that wasn't touched on, but I'd imagine it would be a bit like in The Abyss.

It seems outrageous but that looks like something my private grade school would have taught during the evolution chapter of the science book. Frightening indeed.
