Political prisoner exchange: Pussy Riot singer for Edward Snowden.

Solved.

It's sad that we had to wait for this to happen to a hot, semi-famous chick for us to start giving even the semblance of a shiat about this issue.

Nice one.

/good book, but depressing as hell, as it should have been

It will be interesting--in a sad way--to see how much prison ages her.

For their now infamous 'punk prayer' protest against President Vladimir Putin.

Wasn't he the guy all the right-wing pundits were praising a few weeks ago?

Thank God Reagan got that Communist Regime to stand down.

Pretty funny that after all his complaining about how bad the U.S. is at mistreating its citizens and abusing privacy, that Snowden winds up in Russia. Yes, enjoy the country while they can use you. It wouldn't surprise me is sometime in the future, Russia decides to use Snowden as a bargaining chip and turns him over to the U.S.

The news cycle is pretty selective about its brands of lube.

Considering they were protesting against erosion of separation between state and church...

So I just watched their punk prayer video and it's a lot tamer than I imagined. It basically just dancing in a church. Between this and their treatment of gays, Russia is looking like  pretty backward place

At least it wasn't the friendly confines of Wrigley Field - the place where hope goes to die.

I mean, dictatorships are bad and all, and totalitarianism isn't that keen, but so long as the person's doing it has something we want and/or is white, it's totes cool with conservatives, who love to say how much they love freedom.

Next tab over. Hopefully this thread will about women prison movies.

Bathing is pretty much required at this point. Along with a medical examination, rehydration, and about two months with an IV to get nutrients back into her system.

The joke is that the nickname of Wrigley Field is "The Friendly Confines".  For this to work, that would have to be the nickname of DC.

Let us organize a prisoner extraction operation which I have some experience in and move her to the United States. All she has to do is agree to spend a month with each member of the team and do whatever they wish. AHHHH yes my bunk, I will be in it.

Good, right where they all belong.  When I saw the video of them destroying centuries old religious artifacts, destroying churches and attacking nuns because "How dare moral people think I'm a whore?" attitude was sickening.  Of course, that is how these tolerant, cultural marxist work - if you disagree with them they violently attack and bully you because their arguments lack facts or basic common sense.  I just hope they keep her separate from the other women in the prison so she can't rape them and turn them into lesbians.

Nothing they have done is remotely shocking or prison-worthy in the United States.  There are some crazy stories of things they supposedly did (and yet, didn't) because people don't want to admit that these women are being treated terribly for having done pretty much.... nothing.

2013-11-06 12:11:55 PM
(And while I said they did "nothing" - I should really change that to "nothing any reasonable person could consider a criminal act.")

I honestly hope she survives this ordeal, and I'm glad she's smart enough to know that keeping her name in the news is probably the only thing keeping her alive at this point.  I wonder how the other girl who was sent away is faring.

The article I read last week (I think it was in MRR actually) about the conditions she's been facing was appalling.

On the one hand, you hit all the right cliche's.  But at the end, you kind of gave it all back.  Save this in your back pocket for another Pussy Riot thread and remember to remove the last sentence.

Oh, so a conservative, Christian perspective is trolling now?  Guess since you can't get hate speech legislation passed you have to come up with another way to censor people's speech.  Want to come over later and help me burn some books?
