I will still always remember during a Q&A at Alamo DH (the original one on Colorado), after fielding a question about doing his own stunts for ED2, he did an effing flip on stage in homage of Ash's evil hand just prior to his 'farewell to arms'. He landed on his back, but man that was awesome.

"These random comments slip out of my mouth or Sam Raimi's mouth, the next thing you know, we're making a sequel"

I don't know what you guys are talking about.  He clearly said they're making a sequel.

That's kind of how he did it for the movie, too.

It's possible that regardless of whether the movie is being made or not, that he's just farking with everyone. Sounds like something Bruce Campbell would do.

Well now he's done it. Raimi has no choice, he HAS to make it or incur the wrath of a million nerds. You know how we get when we want something. We start mailing related items. And I think you all know what this means when talking about a guy who cut off his own hand. How many severed hands do you want, Raimi? START WRITING.

Saw him do an interactive monologue at Virginia Tech in the late 90's.  Was awesome.

Going to miss Burn Notice.  :(

I'll be fully honest, started watching solely because of him.

I personally prefer the version in which he states, "I ain't that good." It seems I may be the only one.

Yeah, you are. I also prefer Luke saying to Artoo (after Artoo's spat out by the habogad), "You're lucky you don't taste too good," to the line that is currently on all the updated versions, "You're lucky to get out of there."

"I ain't that good" is a good line, but it's not as good as the other, which also expresses Ash's personality a bit better.

Why do we live in a world where Hugh Jackman can be Wolverine every two years and not bat an eye, but it's like pulling teeth to get a fourth movie starring Bruce Campbell as Ash over two decades of time? Just make the movie already. Please the nerds and pocket the cash. Is anyone going to look down on him for making Evil Dead 4? It aint Shakespeare. Raimi already did Drag Me To Hell, which was nearly a spiritual sequel anyway.

Same goes for Bill Murray and Ghostbusters 3. The worst Ghostbusters 3 script is still going to be better than Hyde Park On Hudson.

Also, I bruce on twitter and he can be kind of an asshole IMO.

When Bruce said there would be an Army of Darkness 2 period he did not absolutely mean there would be an Army of Darkness 2 certain restrictions and criteria would apply..

I saw "Army of Darkness" for the first time about 2 months ago (I'm 34) and, dammit!, I want a sequel!!
/Make with the filming already

CSB time.

When I was in school a little over a decade ago at UNC, I worked for a gaming store.  My boss was a regular at Origins and GenCon.  The year before I started working there, he and his wife were at Origins, and Bruce was the guest of honor.  He played a Briscoe-esque character in a Deadlands LARP, and my boss' wife was the town sheriff.

At one point, Bruce comes sauntering through the room trying to round up a posse to deal with the evil undead thing that crawled out from a mine and was terrorizing the town.  He's about to give one of his typical speeches when this tiny woman steps out of the crowd, marches right up to him, stares him down eye-to-chest, points at the plastic star on her name-tag, and says "I'm wearing the badge,  I call the posse, not you!" and buries her finger in his sternum.   Bruce was momentarily speechless, and delivered a remarkable "yes, ma'am" with perfect pitch and timing.

I heard this story told at every convention for a few years, and when Bruce came through Chapel Hill promoting his autobiography  If Chins Could Kill, I took my copy of Deadlands to get it signed.  I jogged his memory of the convention and he said something to the effect of, "I loved those things, I loved role-players, they can be great improvisational actors."

Ah Bruce, you can be a dick to fans and we'll still love you.
It's part of his charm.

Make the film, don't make the film. I don't care -- just keep being awesome.

My wife and I just finished watching the end of Burn Notice.
It was cool to hear him use that phrase in there.
