If only those mattresses had been armed, this never would've happened. Won't someone think of the box-springs?

Funny that you automatically assume the driver was a man.

Is it really ironic when it's expected?

Tired submitter misuses ironic tag.

Would it have been ironic if instead the car crashed into the house of an insomniac?

I recently bought a mattress and, by the time I was done with that sordid experience, was ready to drive a truck into a mattress store.

Furniture salesmen, as a rule, suck.

Sorry you had that experience. I sell mattresses as a living and I try to educate consumers and be as low pressure as possible.

Where were you when I was shopping?? (Yes, I know, Louisiana, different part of the country.) I did not encounter anyone who remotely met that description.

Shop a large chain? They're pretty high pressure at chain stores. I work for a family company which focuses on taking care of the consumer.

Yeah, mostly. They were like used car salesmen, complete with the silly flattery, the "what do I have to do to earn your business today?" spiel, putting me on the phone with a "regional manager" in one case...

Our last mattress was from The Original Mattress Factory. If you were in one of the states where they have a store, I'd have bet that's where you worked. We won't buy from anyone else now.

Obviously not someplace that sold air mattresses. Otherwise he'd do high pressure mattress sales.
