All the prospective Democratic candidates for 2016 will be distancing themselves from Obama now on.

Did you just call Biden a "prospective Democratic candidate" ??

This strategy worked so well for Gore.

One day in one speech at one rally Biden fails to mention a man who isn't present, isn't on the ballot, and can't run for re-election.

Ooooor maybe the VAGOV race is about other issues than Obama's performance, such as how nutty Cuccinelli is, and Ariana Huffington's Traitor Times is implying nefarious intent where none is present because all of her employees are opportunistic fame seekers?

Overblown. There is no need to campaign for the Obama/Biden ticket anymore--they won twice. Why not assert himself in terms of the local race? Biden doesn't need to rely on anyone else to make his cases.

Plagiarism reference. Very subtle, if so.

I hope someone finds a Rand Paul comment about Biden's "gaffes" or plagiarism. Best if Rand stole it from someone else.

He didn't claim he made Gattaca, so it's clearly not plagiarism, duh.

that's why the headline went with Biden bashing Cooch over "OMG HE DISSED THE PREZ!!!!" that HuffPo did

You mean an opthamologist who formed his own certifying board because he didn't like the rules of the existing board, and then passed himself off as a board certified opthamologist might be capable of intellectual dishonesty?

Unintentional, but I can see that. 1988 doesn't seem relevant though after 8 years of being VP. Now if he challenges anyone to a duel before the nomination, then we'll have a story.

This is what I was thinking.  Are we seriously supposed to assume that any time Obama isn't mentioned, it's an attack on him?

Still waiting for Rand Paul to release his alleged scholarly articles he claims to have written. I found one 4 page piece reviewing a few eye cases.

This. I'm not sure what TFA is on about...

Speaking of the nickname "Cooch", word is that the kids at the super fundy Patrick Henry College call him that, completely oblivious to what it means.

Whelp, I'm convinced. This article obviously means..........something. I'm gonna vote for Cuccinelli.

"Keep Cooch outta my cooch!"

Should have been a McAuliffe campaign slogan.

Hmmm..let me see.  VP Biden was there to drum up support for McAuliffe, and since he didn't need or have to say anything about the NATIONAL politics or things he and President Obama worked or are working on to DRUM UP SUPPORT FOR A VIRGINIA gubernatorial candidate, Howard Fineman somehow extrapolates that this means "JOE HAS NOTHING GOOD TO SAY ABOUT OBAMA."

FIneman, you truly haven't seen the ball since kickoff.  How you even dared to put out that schlock is beyond me.  Why would Biden say anything about a guy (Obama) who isn't running for Virginia governor, but McAuliffe is?  That's like Biden, during the VP debates, talking up how good McAuliffe is and not saying anything about Obama.  Do you realize that we'd be all over Biden for not getting his audience or message straight?

Just stop writing stupid shiat, Fineman.  You must be starved for attention to write such idiotic crap.

I would love the hell out of President Biden. We would look back on those years with a fondness, and with a firmness, too.

My god. It reads like a parody of vacuous beltway reporting.

Fineman reads like a middle schooler who was permanently picked on by the jocks and after decades of trying out put downs and acidic comments in front of the mirror is now venturing back out into the world hoping that his finely honed mean girl persona will get him invited to the cool kids table.

It used to be that the politicians they covered were the non functional narcissistic ones.

I miss that time.

Would've loved that just to see the reaction of some of the RW pundits like Ingraham and Coulter.
